Rahat gone, 234 all out.

Babar looked more comfortable at the crease than Rahat, he should've farmed the strike.
 
I think Pakistan will win Inshallah, the pitch is already very liveley, and will get worse. England will struggle also hopefuly!

We will need decent score in our 2nd innings
 
That was probably Misbah greatest Knock in the white Kit; unfortunate to miss out on the hundred, he'd never have played that shot if we were not on the ropes. Was looking for a quick single but was always going to be risky against the new ball, had no choice though.

Pak bowled out for 234. I wonder what the average is in the 1st innings in Tests won at the ground? They should have had so much more though, everyone threw their wicket away.
 
Junaid should have been there instead of Rahat! He may have at least hit a reverse sweep six!

Pitch's liveliness has been exaggerated, Most wickets were thrown by Pakistan

I fully expect England to rack up up 350+
 
Will be fun if Pakistan get a wicket before stumps today..

Average First innings here is 380+
 
It's a pitch that is expected to help the spinners at some point but on this day it was the seamers who dominated, Pakistan should be ashamed for their poor display. I actually don't think it had any serious demons in it, they should have posted around 450-500.
 
Start bowling with Shah and Babar. It's not like they did much with the bat anyway.
 
Moeen is a walking wicket, so it doesn't matter whether he's out today or early next morning but Cook getting out now is integral to Pakistani success.
 
This is another to have Amir, he can bat a bit. I was hoping for Wahab and Yasir to improve their batting, but when going gets tough, they are flat :facepalm:

They are already mentally defeated before they even face him and Broad :facepalm: thou shall not score off Anderson/Broad will ensure they are bowled out for under 100 every time. They need to seriously re-evaluate their strategy against the seamers.
 
Key is root and cook, i dont see the rest doing much on this turning pitch. Also we only need 9 wickets as im sure stokes wont be back

Moeen can play a cameo or a fighting 50 odd, which can really flatten out PAkistan
 
Lot of gifted wickets, it has lot more to do with weakness against seamers.

Strategy is last thing , with :waqar as a coach.

It looked to be turning sharply already! But England have poor spinners. Pakistan could have been all out for about 160 but Misbah has set up a win for Pakistan here.

Plus which, Stokes won't bat in either innings.

That's an optimist's view, the reality is that the vast majority of the Pakistani batsmen have thrown their wickets away and England have Cook and Root who can easily give England a sizeable lead.

Waqar looks such a good bowling coach. My God.

His one to one sessions with bowlers make it worth his presence in the coaching circle.
 
Bowlers like rahat are rhythm bowlers.

Can't expect them to be firing from the first over.
