I don't see the whining here of 'playing slow'. IT IS A SLOW track, even slower outfield. Difficult to get your runs.

No one is whining for slow scoring, I think everyone understands that 10/15% scoring is blocked by the out field & the wicket isn't easy. But, that doesn't tell that Berbi should go for an inside edged single in 8/9 overs.


Had ENG got one tight spinner like Swan, PAK's run rate would have been 1.7. Majority scores are against full toss or long hops - a home team with 1-0 lead doesn't play like this.

The latter has tired the England bowlers and held one end up while the former has scored as many but not had any decisive impact on the game neither has his mettle been tested. Hence, Misbah.

I 'll wait till June to answer. Last time PAK went with a top 6 of Butt, Farhat, Azhar, Amin, Umar, Malik; then dropped KAkmal for Julkarnine. Led by a joker, who chickened out midway, couple of debutant pacers, one of who was 18 & a finger spinner in one of the wettest English summer - still won 2 out of 1st 5 Test before the ugly scenes, against a much better English & Aussie side.

I don't think batting 'll be a major issue - Jimmy is 34 now, 'll be 35 next July, he was 29 then. Bowling is more concern as PAK pacers have forgotten the use of new ball. You asked me - I 'll tell that biggest concern is fielding - 60% wickets 'll come from edges behind batsmen - if you drop Misbah & YK, PAK slip cordon 'll gift 500 runs in the series, trust me.

No doubt slip cordon will be a massive issue.

And well Jimmy may be 35 by then, but still believe ENG have enough quality bowlers to trouble us.

Likes of Mark Footit would easily trouble our batting line up in UK, and he isn't even in the squad.

We have a massive issue in terms of batsman to play in those conditions, so imperative they sort it out now.
