So he was born a cricketer...
I thought he was born a cheetah. Well you learn something everyday.

I think Pakistan are in good shape actually. MoYo knows how to graft an innings and Umar Akmal showed that he has the composure to keep MoYo company. The run rate is hardly excessive. The key will be to get them to stay there till tea. If they're there till tea Pakistan will win.

Nearly tea, and one of them is still there. This is a win for Pakistan.

Oh well the Akmal brothers will have to take it home then...

i think this match is in the bag with or without malik ..

i'm just afraid based on this performence he will block the way for someone else to come in the team..
Let's find out shall we?

Another ballerina master class by Malik.

Why is he in the team exactly?

He gets out to horrible looking shots - it looks worse with each replay

Tea - horrible timing for the wkt

Instead of going in despondant - Kiwis will be laughing

oh man... im dissapointed he was playing really well did he try to leave that delivery alone but stil managed to nip it?

Why do you even watch Pakistan cricket?

i hate malik for what he has done to pakistan cricket in recent years..

just hate him..he has done more demage than good

Dont worry guise, Kami, Umar and Aamer can still bat, and if need be, we will use the iDone.

Malik luckily made some runs. Seemed like he would get out on duck when he came out. Poor shot on the one he got out especially since he finally seemed like he was treading out of this poor patch he's in.

:))) @ Akmal coming in and smashing a cover drive first ball. Are these guys in the form of their life or what?

Well tail ender again showed what he made off........a crappy and useless test batsman.......

That was a horrible shot by Malik, if he had got behind it with a straight bat he would have been ok, but he was trying to cross bat it.

hahahahahahahahaha

Put it this way if someone told you Malik will make 32 I'm sure most of us would have took it. Let's just hope akmal senior has no brain farts

And it's tea.

Evenly poised honestly. NZ gets one wicket, and it'll be a lot of trouble.

But he is not going anywhere for now. He even refused to bowl this test match

Good wicket in the context of how thrilling this game has been so far. You know it's been a great game when all results (pak win, nz win, draw and tie) are still possible in the last session.

Its too late for NZ , we'll win easily.
If we had to get 10 runs, with 5 wickets, in hand we would lose the 5 wickets for 7 runs...

Theres still 86 to get, so chill.

Silly dismissal from Malik - things were going great and there was no need to try playing that, absolutely no need. He was looking in decent nick as well - the Kiwi's will really be up for it after tea, Shane Bond will undoubtedly bowl a deadly spell

Again its up to the Akmal brothers to do their magic

there is a Malik thread. We are here to watch Pakistan win and not celebrate wicket losses

delivery got big on Malik, not the first time, Alam and Yousuf also fell to rising delveries, the pitch has demons, it plays like a flat one than all of a sudden one just kicks up.

Well what a match, it goes to the last session of the last day to decide where the match is heading.
Umar has played a blinder, but he has to carry on and get a 100, this is the only way I think Pakistan will win it.
Inshallah Pakistan will pull this off.

As they say... hindsight is always 20/20.

If we don't lose a wicket in the first half hour after tea then I'm pretty sure this should be in the bag

Considering we were 3-24....this is a un-Pakistan like chase

What a fantastic test match this has been

The balance continuously has been shifting between the two teams and even now everything other than there being a result is uncertain

If only Malik hadn't gotten out, we would've been in the driving seat but he played well under the situation. Gotta applaud Umar Akmal though, really fantastic stuff from him

Here's hoping he carries us home :uakmal

Easier said when sitting under a duvet at home. The ball bounces low sometimes, and kicks up sometimes. It's a day 5 pitch. And he's got 0.3 seconds to react.

He probably could've done better. But it happens in sports.

we have worst team in the world , we have lost matches in the past where no one even thought that we could loose those matches,
on other hand we did the same ..
so i will wait and watch till last moment..
and InshaALLah our team will win

He just wets himself every time the ball is pitched short.

If by a miracle mixed with seniority complex and severe incompetence of our selectors he ever makes it to Australia, Johnson and Siddle will have him for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

True, but the fact Is Malik overall is a very poor player of short pitched bowling for a long time - either leave it or get behind it solidly.

He didn't refuse to bowl. He just wasn't employed by Yousuf. He's new to captaincy. He'll understand the benefits of part timers eventually I hope

My daily schedule is going to get so messed up by the end of this series. It's almost 4am right now!
