NZcricketfan - are u the guy that told me he bowled Latham once?

Pakistan looking phenomenal out there. Even Hafeez scored 96. This is going to be a long series for NZ here. They are better off just looking to draw all matches than try and win.

Shehzad is what a real batsman is. Over the last few years we've seen lots of rubbish. Thank God he is here to stay. Proven lots of people wrong.

I know how to judge a cricketer.
Mamoon Varun Aman

the three main posters against Shehzad all proven wrong yet again.

I agree that Shehzad is one of the best openers we've had in ages, but he's not perfect yet, he needs to work on a few technical issues and his strike rotation. If he can brush out these flaws, he will become a very good batsman.

Shehzad averaging 45 in test cricket.

22 years old. Has 8 tons already in international cricket. Ton vs Mitch Johnson and co. Ton vs Steyn, Philander and Morkel in SA, Ton in SA vs Southee, Mills etc. Only guy to score t20 ton for Pakistan.

All at 22.

We have a future star on our hands for sure.

Be proud and please support him.

Aman made you look silly then and again today you are prancing around like a rooster.

I just don't want to see you drag things into the gutter and get banned my friend.

I hope you dont get banned mate. I expect more meltdowns from your lot. But hang in there, okay?

I believe you look both ways when you cross a two way street, don't you ??. What goes around comes around, but its all banter and fun here mate - nothing too serious :D The way some of y'all are reacting is extremely surprising given how NZ fans, in general, were hyping of being world beaters.

I think most NZ fans picked us to lose. But we expected us to be competitive after some good recent results for us.

How is that so bad?

NZ has a proud tradition in sports we expect our teams to show and try to win.

He already is a very good batsman WITH these flaws.

If he fixes them, he will be world class.

Shehzad should look to score big this innings. He won't get many better chances than this honestly

One person. Aman was claiming we were world beaters. That is not all New Zealanders.

Yeah I understand, my bad mate :( sorry about that earlier. You won't believe this but NZ, before I met Aman on PP were one of my favorite side as a neutral. Always wanted them to do good, but some unnecessary negativety from a certain poster seriously made me rethink of who I support and I wanted Pakistan to do well in this series regardless of what they achieved against the Aussies.

This is how much I was ******** off

When I saw in the morning that NZ were bowling I returned back to my bed enveloped myself in blankets and tried not to imagine the horrors that would be taking place on the field.

Having not seen much of the NZ attack I was absolutely petrified based on some of the posts from NZ posters hyping up their bowlers and criticizing Pakistan. I thought we would be bundled out for our lowest ever score.

Now these same NZ posters are crying, slitting wrists and saying they are being bullied.

Pathetic stuff.

So I hate Shehzad just because I compared him to Rahane?

(And that thread is a fairly good sea-saw comparison anyway)

And him scoring means PAK will have to suffer in the upcoming Tests (and upcoming Test series). Be a bit neutral, Hafeez isn't a Test class player and you too know it he will embarrass us in Tests if batting on sporting pitches.

What did Misbah or Azhar do in Sa in tests other than averaging 20s?

I rate NZ higher than AUS if they're playing in Asia/UAE.

Southee, Boult, Williamson, McCullum - all players who can adjust and thrive in these conditions.

Particularly the new ball bowling pair in Boult and Southee, I had predicted they'll take out our top order cheaply but fortunately it didn't happen today!

Still believe they'll learn a thing or two and will swing out at least Hafeez in the 2nd innings/2nd Test.

Alchemy has this habit of exaggerating whatever opposition fans say. Wildly.

I mean if you claim we will be competitive, he will claim that we called ourselves world beaters. I dare him to find one serious post of mine where I have claimed we will whip Pakistan or we will win 3-0 or we are world beaters.

Hell I have been claiming from the start that we will be whipped but we hope to give them a good fight. But he conveniently chose to ignore that and painted all Kiwi fans as arrogant.

Good over by southee (apart from the sliwer ball) and good solid technique by azhar MA

Speaking of New Zealander members, where is Marshland?

There is a very famous story of a donkey wearing a lions skin i read during my primary school days. I think that equates what our kiwi brothers were doing before the start of the series claiming that Kiwi attack is better than both Pakistani and Australian and we would we ripped apart in UAE.

Nope.

Firstly I never said u hate him and secondly it was before that thread was created :)

Aman really trolled up a storm for this series.

It may be slightly ruining my cricket discussion but hes certainly rustled jimmies in bulk quantities

What did Misbah or Azhar do in Sa in tests other than averaging 20s?

Lol, a lot better than Hafeez who is a nothing bat - be it SA or highways of UAE/India/SL particularly in Tests. Misbah is the highest averaging bat in the world in such conditions (ODI).

How can anyone enjoy watching Azhar bat? Atleast Misbah has that six OUTTA NOWHERE to keep us guessing.

What's up with the pace of Southee?

He doesn't bowl in 140s? or late 130s ?

How can anyone enjoy watching Azhar bat? Atleast Misbah has that six OUTTA NOWHERE to keep us guessing.

Azhar is quality.

Love watching him bat.

Don't think I've missed a ball of him batting in international cricket EVER!!!

No one, not even Aman said Pakistan would be ripped apart.

We said NZ would be more competitive than AUS, and I still believe we will. All of us NZ posters predicted that NZ would get rolled over in the 1st Test, but would bounce back in the 2nd and 3rd games.

two innings should not make you a permanent member of a team.

Yeah true, since I'm 19, I always wanted to know how Afridi's amazing ODI batting average in the mid 90's regressed all the way to 23 after that 100. I'm seeing proof of it now in Anderson's T20 innings.

He an emotional guy we shouldn't judge him leathers.

Aman wasn't nice to upset him like that.

If you want to find such posts, go take a look at any of Aman's posts before the Aussie series and heck even check the one after the aussie series. Sample thread: Kiwi bowling attack being better than Australian. Also, do check Nzcricketfan's posts as well.

Good story and very accurately describes the Kiwi fans but the difference is that after wearing the skin of a lion they have put on the skin of sheep and are now begging for mercy/claiming that the forum quality has deteriorated etc etc.

Poor stuff from these Kiwis.

That why he should open. He is not a number three at all, not a guy that would be averaging over 40.

No they won't. Well Hafeez might get out to them regardless, if they do swing the cherry or not. These conditions negate Southee and Boult to a massive extent. The swing present here is minimal. You need good pace in the air to be successful as a fast bowler in the UAE, and Southee/Boult are as fast as Rahat Ali (not so good). Johnson was a different beast compared to these two and you can see that in his performance in the first Test. MoJo did actually pose a valid threat with the new ball

When did Paks and Kiwis become such vicious rivals? Myself included.

After you lose the second test you will claim that you have learned and will show what the Kiwis are capable of in the 3rd.

After losing the 3rd test you will say it was a dead rubber so the players weren't playing with full intensity.

Then you will label the series as a success because it is the first time playing in tough conditions for many of your players and that you will win next time you tour.

We have seen people like you Kiwis before...he was known as malakian.

I don't care about his posts. He riled you up pretty good. Tell me about my posts. But you are not gonna find them are you?

If some Pakistani fan makes wild claims and gets owned, should I accuse you of getting owned as well?

That why he should open. He is not a number three at all, not a guy that would be averaging over 40.

No, he's a good batsman and suited to #3. All he needs to do is show more intent and not be in a defensive state of mind at all times.

I'm not Kiwi, I'm Pakistani born in Karachi, who lives in Auckland. I support both teams.

If they fail badly in the 3rd Test too, then it's down to a bad performance. I don't think NZ will win a match this series, but they could draw a match this series.

Your avatar creeps me out, big time.

Agreed, Azhar is not dynamic enough for #3, and its in the best interests of the team for Azhar to open. Shafiq is a much better option at #3. Hafeez should be pushed to #5 or #6.

:))

This thread is a perfect example if more women followed matches. More in-fighting about who said what than what's going in the actual match :afridi

Yup. Asad at three.

Hafeez should be dropped altogether with Haris coming in at 5. Misbah to demote to six just like YK did with Azhar.

lmaoo :)))

as for the NZers, only Aman and maybe NZcricketfan to a slight extent were boasters...even then I get the implication that NZcricketfan only did it cos of the reaction of the Pakistanis so it was natural therefore it was Aman mainly. Leatherface and Space Cat didn't hype one bit.

No. It's down to them not being good enough

The problem with dropping Hafeez is we end up with only 4 bowlers, which cost us in SL. We need to find an allrounder to replace Hafeez. Haris may have to wait a little bit.

Staggering to think Shehzad has another 13 years of cricket left.

Still has 5 years yet to peak. He is going to be a mammoth.

LOL. Have you been reading the made up tripe Alchemy has said? I've never claimed that we're world beaters - never. I've always maintained Aus, SA, England and India are better than us. The only reason Pakistani PPers have been ruffled is because I said we've achieved more than Pakistan have in the last 3 years (before the Aus series). Which is a fair call, it's not the case now with Pakistan coming off a big series win against Aus, but all this talk of me saying NZ are world beaters is BS.

No. It's down to them not being good enough

If you seriously think NZ aren't good enough, then you haven't followed them at all and have no right to comment about them. NZ can win a Test here on their day. If Pakistan played this NZ team in NZ, Alchemy would've left a lot earlier.

Hilarious how Aman left and proper posters like leatherface and Space Cat are getting flogged because they have the same flag beside their creepy avatars.
