This is a different Pak side, I don't see you guys collapsing here. This is a highway, I'm more worried about our second innings than anything.

Taufeeq, shan are terrible

Rest of them can easily crumble under scoreboard pressure

Draw or NZ win are likely results now, unless we wrap them up for around 200.

We don't need to dismiss them for 200, anything less than 300 in 1st innings on this pitch would be a below par effort batting 1st

Though I think 400 looks easy for NZ here

Babar is a mediocre spinner but I have been lambasted for saying so. I don't see anything special in him.

OK let's see if this toss means anything.

It certainly means some thing. Question is how much and if it's enough to make a difference in final result.

If you are chasing 500+ even on flat wicket then you will come under pressure.

I don't think that it will be very easy to bat here against some decent spin as game progresses. Wicket is turning even on the first session. Not by much but turning enough for the first session.

Positive batting but we need to try and make it to lunch without losing a wicket. Will be a big mental boost for the batsmen.

Not looking good, we just can't bank on winning the toss and batting first all the time.

A different toss result, and things look totally different.

How so?
They are 60 without loss, same as in the first test after which they collapsed. Some people need a reminder that a test lasts 5 days not 1 session on day 1.

Showing their true colors today, mediocre attack lacking penetration.

Ajmal was past his prime in Tests anyway, we are lacking a genuine fast bowler.

Hmmmmm........ Our Bowlers are actually trying to force a wicket rather than setting up the batsman. Need to calm down and think straight

day 1 in Asia most teams struggle to pick wickets unless you have a Steyn calibre bowler. Should try to restrict them to 350.

Ehsan adil will struggle with old ball, his action isn't suited to reverse swing

Signs of an inexperience bowling attack

Quite True... I was expecting this if and ever NZ batted first. These guys will learn, its not the end of the world and for all I care NZ might end up loosing the game

so basically a minnow basher.

Two of those knocks were very good.

That 200 in Hyderabad to save the test is far from minnow bashing. The 300 was also a fantastic test and series saving innings.

Adil seems to have increase his pace a bit, though would be interesting to see how he copes with old ball

Ehsan Adil should be in for ODIS. He is just perfect for Aus conditions tall and hit the deck bowler.

These two are NZ best batsmen. Get Taylor out there and watch them then

McCullum should have been gone last over from Adil, I guess this makes up for it :)

This a chance for Pakistan to put some pressure.

That's the first wicket given away, gah he could have thrown away Australasia's first session in the UAE :(

That being said, McCullum was lucky to still be there, should have been LBW.

Lucky wicket but well deserved for Ehsan should have had MCCullum twice before

Typical brain explosion by McCullum.

Has the talent but that sort of shot is why he isn't averaging in the 40s.

We have enough bowlers who are good with the old ball but new ball skills have been terribly lacking.
