It would have been 106-4 if Sanga out was given and that catch at slip was held.

Yes but they weren't.

2/108, Pakistan are a mile behind the over rate too.

That was shocking by the ump. What was going through his mind???

Looked like it was pitching outside leg stump and maybe that's what he thoought but should have been given.

can't believe they get paid in 6 figures and can't decide dead straight plumbs well.

ok arafat is solid. we have a lock for the one day and the test teams for an all rounder position

Replays showed it pitched well inside the line of leg stump.

How come Pakistan doesn't have hawk's eye? It shouldn't be that expensive that we ware unable to buy the equipment.

Good pace too actually he has been quicker than both Sohail and Gul and he looks to be rhythm as well.

Pakistan does not have to buy Hawk Eye. That is the responsibility of the broadcaster. TEN Sports in this case.

sohail looked really really ordinary and didn't see anything in his bowling. he looked pretty raw and needs to play more domestic cricket

Ok we all realize Malik is an "allrounder" but can get the other crappy spinner on now.

It was not a marginal decision clearly pitched on line
I think instead of referal system they should paint the pitch with invisible paint that can only been seen by the unpire wearing special specs should improve the umpiring and the deciion will stay with the umpire that the purist want
I know its sounds a bit scifi but given todays technology i think it would be easily possible to do so

I wasn't aware of that. Ten Sports is quite a big corporation, surprised they are not using it.

arafat was really impressive this session, unlucky not to get a cpl more wikks

where is sohail's much vaunted pace???...

Well he had no rhythm but anyone expecting him to bowl over 90 MPH consistently is dreaming he is about the same pace as Gul.

he's our last pace hope. I'm desperate to see him in 2nd test. I'll be happy if he can consistently hit 145 kph

2 wickets, should be 3. anyway am off to sleep finally at 7am UK, Insh'Allah PAKISTAN will do well!!!

wasn't expecting 90. gul has been faster, more consistent, and far more accurate. hopefully he can find his rhythm because the ball is starting to move a little.

one thing nice to see is that Pakistan is very active on the field today. sum good fielding compared to the other days

hi guys u remembered there used to be a review system for lbw decisions. has that rule is over??
It is not over it is just that ICC did not allow or allocate it for Pak-SL series

I dont see why so many people were clamoring for his inclusion if he is gul pace with no control he would be useless
although with his slingy action he might be good bowling with the old ball
but whoever was clamoring for his inculsion over arafat as he was faster
didn;t know what they were talking about arafat was bowling faster with more control

I really hope our openeres play as positively as warnapura did. Ahmed Shehzad would have been an ideal choice on this wicket. khurram manzoor...huh...Allah khair kare.

I don't think it is because we are different that other. Jan. RA earlier answered and his answer was because "Referral system is being trialled in select series before they decide to implement it or not."Hope this helps you

The has quite bit of assistance to spin actually. Kaneria spun the ball a lot in the last over of the session.

No it doesn't mean that at all. The review system is a trial by the ICC, for specific series:

India v Sri Lanka was one series
West Indies v New Zealand was another
And the final trial is South Africa v Australia

Then the ICC will get all the reports from players, umpires etc and consider whether to implement for all series or none.

I'm guessing Talha to play in the next game.
I think it is pretty early to judge we still have 4 days left what if Sohail improves and does better so we never know. But so far you are right Talha will play next game Insh Allah
