I don't get it either. When I look at the team there isn't a single person in our team who inspires me except Malik.

Younis either scores a 0 or a 100 lately. Butt/Misbah make sure they are ready for test cricket. For all of Yousaf faults...he was class batsman...might have been bit slow to get started but always scored the runs.

my thoughts

1) happy with selection today. shoaib would die in this heat. finally they have accomodated for a longer batting order. well done

2) highly anticipating arafat to bowl

3) wouldve been nice to have fawad alam in there instead of butt and open with akmal. that was the option to go if you are to bring in arafat seeing as how that would give us an extra bowling option just incase he is unsuccessful. thats the one trick that pakistan missed with regards to the adjustments they have made. shouldve had alam as an extra bowler, at least, if anything.

4) definitely looks like a batting pitch. looks like a 280 - 300 par score track based on what im seeing on tv and all the reports. spinners will have a large role to play to limit the score, regardless of whether they take wickets or not.


5) nice to hear a lot of chatter in the field!!! pakistan looks like they are bonding as a unit.
