Arsal, Immubhai???? I don't know how well Inzi will do but here he is batting at 4 :)

I like this order but again the problem is that if either Yousuf or Inzi get out at this stage, we will be in deep trouble and the scoreline is going to be more or less same during actual games after 10-15 overs.

Who is going to play the middle overs??? Only Malik looks capabale otherwise it will be tough to last full 50 overs.

can't believe. cricinfo is covering india's match. that's pathetic. it's discrimination against all others teams. :12: :12: :12:

well bro, Cricket Plus and Dish Network are showing India's match but i was hoping Cricket plus might show canada's match being a canadain channel.. :12: :12: :12:

mmmm.... 3 down.... so Australia have Pakistan 65/3... sorry i mean Canada!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11111

3 down already with two of our best batsmen gone, looks like Canada is in with a chance here

anderson cummins is a 40 year old west indian who has only recently started playing for Canada. he debuted against Pakistan way back in 1991.

watch out for chumney (another pensioner) for a bit of strokeplay at the top for canada. john davison is probably the key wicket. Pakistanis in the team include umar bhatti and qaiser ali.

4 wkts, 15.2 overs 66 runs !!

nice early collapse.. we gonna lose against a part time candian mounty team!

Ohh cmon! This is Canada!!!

This shouldnt be any competition...anyhow the more important thing is for ALL batsmen to get a lil bit of gametime practice to stretch out their legs and get used to the conditions. Hopefully they're doing that in this game...

65/3 15 overs ..pak struggling but still expect for pak to score 250+

Canada has us 66/4.....what will happen when we play SA in the next warmup match and the more important game of WI

3/65 after 15 overs
Moyo out for 21 , Bhatti gets Moyo.

This is exactly the situation i am talking about, 2 of our main hopes back in the pavillion within first 15 overs. We can expect this to happen more often in actual games and if it does, there will be times where we won't even last 50 overs. It's just a point otherwise it's a good batting order and let's hope we will stick with the same order at least in the first 3 games against Windies, Ireland and Zimbabwe.

All plans out the window now bring in anyone who can bat!!!!!!!!!!

:)))

Wickets: Shoaib Malik played on, Imran Nazir caught at 3rd man, Muhammad Yousuf drove to mid on.

13 a side game. Drinks break. Shoaib Malik played on, Imran Nazir caught at 3rd man, Mohamed Yousuf drove to mid on.

SameerAhmed.. u r VERY optomistic!

come on guys, we have such a long batting order that we should still get over 250 easily, this will give Azhar and Rana a chance to bat and plus put some type of pressure on Inzi to do well

ONLY 3 extras after 15.2 overs!!! tight bowling too

U compare that to Paks when we bowl.. I bet its gonna b double figures

They're not the mounties!!

Looks like a job for Inzi and Afridi

66/4 - bhatti picks up m.yousuf and osinde cleans up malik.
these two are rated amongst the top new ball bowlers in associate cricket. osinde is of african origin, from uganda.

If this type of collapse keeps on happening continuously then maybe we need to revert back to the old batting order

Meanwhile India 0/26 after 3 overs.

Dutch bowler bowled 6 no balls in his first over, wow we have a competitor for Sami and Rana.

love for country is part of faith...its a hadith

Another weakness from pakistan is setting a total!!! when ever they bat first we dont have a chance
When we chasing we much more confident.

hopes are on Afridi to bang it out.. and Inzi to stay the full innings :)

All after Hafeez settles the ship (Bluddy long DRINKS break!!)

is it a drinks break or lunch break.. score and balls aren't moving..lol :)))

Watchhing the match

Is anyone acutally watching the match,. If so what clothing are they wearing?
And why are pakistan sending younis opening when he isnt going to opne in the world cup

Pakistan lost the early wicket of vice-captain Younis Khan after being asked to bat first by Canada in their World Cup warm-up in Trinidad.

Younis was caught by wicket-keeper Ashish Bagai off the bowling of Anderson Cummins for 11 after he was surprsingly asked to open the batting.

After six overs, the score was 22-1, with the classy Mohammad Yousuf coming in to join Imran Nazir (10 not out).

Pakistan were able to pick from just 13 players for the match in St Augustine.

The replacements for injured bowlers Shoaib Akhtar and Mohammad Asif have not yet arrived in the Caribbean.

Mohammad Sami will arrive later in the week, pending clearance from the International Cricket Council's technical committee, but Yasir Arafat is yet to clear his doping test.

This is EXACTLY what happens when you experiment (younis opening) right at the start of the world cup. I said that long time ago....world cup is not the place and time to experiment.

Wait till you see Danish's experiment!!!

I pray and hope that I am made to eat my words later!! :p

. Sightscreen just blown over after 19.2 overs - expect slight delay!
:))

Danish will do good if he stays focused.. he can clean up the Tail no problem

Sightscreen jut blown over after 19.2 overs - expect slight delay! hahahaha

I think opening with Younis is a good move, sure you risk losing a top order batsmen early on but you still give a chance of getting at least a decent 50 run opening partnership as wel

this is really really sad. i regularly net with umar bhatti here is toronto, and asif mulla joins us some times as well. usually we kick umar's ass in the nets. its just really sad to see our international players struggle against him, and i just cannot believe he got our legend MOYO out. i will never hear the end of this now

why everybody here has a bad approach ? You do not know the pitch and you have seen yesterday how the SA´s played here. I think the pitch is not good for batting.

anyone know if we can listen to live commentry on the net please?

Give credit please to the associate nations.

Any bowler can be shelled in nets - cricket isnt played in the nets though.

Gasher knows Umar and rates him and hes a good judge so I'll take that.

watch out for qaiser ali, he is a good bat. asif will score if we give him two or three chances in the begning.

Reason for delay I am told was that the sightscreen blew over and players had to go off. This is from my colleague who is at the match I think.

umar isn't an earth shattering talent but he's a very good all round cricketer who can turn it up when it really matters. he's got the natural advantage of being left handed as well and his record for canada speaks for itself.
