Glad to see Riaz in the side. Bowling very well, people can see he's the ideal 3rd pacer. If Amir doesn't get back, we've pretty much found are replacement. Riaz isn't perhaps as good as Amir, but he's extremely good and deserves to be in the team

however he should have been brought in for ajmal. Gul is our main wicket taking fast bowler. All three of akhtar, Gul and Riaz should have played.

As we can see yet again Hafeez is doing the job and giving very few runs away.


I'm very annoyed Afridi bowled razzaq though. Doesn't matter if he picked up a wicket. His bowling is poor and it gave away a lot of weak runs. It was the weak chink in the armour and allowed the batsmen to target them and up the run rate. If we had not played razzaq, run rate would be lower and pressure would build on the south african batsmen (so that they would be forced to take risks to up it). We lost the pressure by bowling razzaq simply enough. We had to rely on Hafeez and Riaz to try and bring the run rate down again (which they did admirably).

I'm sick in his continuing faith in razzaq. It's not fair on others who want to get into the team. If you don't perform, you're out. Simple as that. And with the ball he hasn't performed for God knows how long.

If Afridi feels the need to bowl a 3rd fast option all the time, it's understandable but then for goodness sake play 3 fast bowlers that actually can bowl well than 2 fast bowlers and one now crappy all rounder. Razzaq used to be good, but he's lost it sadly.
