PSL 2018 Match 7: Karachi Kings maintain 100% record with a five-wicket win over Peshawar Zalmi

KK and Calenders should have played tonight in my opinion is it gives the game a bit more gravitas. Plus the loss of Calendars would have looked better aesthetically under lights.
 
Hasan Ali not playing again. I thought he was only missing first 2 matches?
 
I have no hope from the KK top order. Lets see if Manzoor can continue his rich form.

Kamran scores most of his runs through 'leg out the way slog to fast bowlers' or 'slog sweep' against spinners. Its frustrating bowlers feeding him in his positive zones
 
Wasn't this Irfan Jnr even the emerging player last season? They need to limit this to one tournament.
 
I guess only Asghar is the one who without playing international has been promoted from emerging

Amir is our best T20I fast bowler, but way behind Hasan in ODI format, in fact many are ahead of him in ODI format currently, even Junaid is better than him ODI format.

Junaid is just a good support bowler these days.

I like the look of Irfan jnr in this PSL, he has added some extra pace and looks more confident
 
Despite the pitch being wet, this batting performance is pathetic. Batting is expected to be easier with dew.
 
Irfan touching 140. With his height its pretty good
 
It's a shame that a West Indian has more faith in PAK batting youngsters than PAK Captains.
 
If KK are to have a chance at the title this year they should hope to win most tosses and bowl first as their batting doesn't inspire that much confidence either.

Haris isn't much of a limited overs player, but a beast in the longest format.

He should bat at no. 6 in Tests to ease him into Test cricket and watch him average around 47-52 in Tests.

Watching PSL3 for the first time today. Can't find any franchise to support. But so far QG and PZ are my least favorite due to Hafeez and Shafiq.

Why upset - they can remain emerging for couple more years, which should keep few senior slots open. When, free bump that emerging quota thread, it was fun ...................

I have been following PSL 18 closely. The barring standard is pathetic.
 
Too many, just too many collapses. Got absolutely bored by watching the same kind of matches.

Need some run fests, they should prepare some absolutely flat pitches where 200+ scores wouldn't be hard to get.

I think it has something to do with international call up. Hassan, Shadab, Shibwari and even Asghar was once named in test squad are not emerging anymore

One decent match isn't enough. He's been mediocre overall in his career so far, there are much better choices for bowlers, we don't need him for international team.

Yes in his previous PSL season he lacked quite a few things and two of them were pace and consistent line and lengths which I guess he has improved. Although there os still a lot of matches in the tournament so he needs to keep his efforts up to even be considered as you said a lot of bowling competition is there

But I like the extra bounce and nip he is getting

A player should be emerging only once - if he can make it, he'll make it in open draft; if not, he'll leave & someone from next batch will take his place. PSL is not the place to polish players.

This is such a borefest. Need to atleast set a target of 150+ to make the match entertaining.
 
Have to say quality of PSL is disappointing and it's getting worse - these are excellent wickets for T20 and PAK players won't get a better wicket than this one outside Asia.

I know - but not because of batting quality or wicket, rather because they'll pull the rope to 55 metre level and those scoops like Shehzad will land in crowd.
 
So far, only the LQ vs MS game has been exciting, whilst the rest have been one-sided and dull.
 
I'll change my fantasy team to 8 bowlers and 3 batsmen who bowls few overs, like Watson, Malik, Bopara....

But to be fair even foreign talents like McCullum, Russel, Smith, Tamim, Ronchi, Pollard, Bravo etc are also yet to do anything substantial with the bat.
