No they should not they are making him look really good on purpose so that England falls into the trap and play him in the tests for sure. [emoji6]

Sent from my SM-G925I

Moeen will be one of the first name on the team-sheet even if he gets hammered here. He is their first-choice spinner.

Only question is if he will open or not. He will if Rashid plays, otherwise Hales will.

Manzoor is a limited strokeless wonder and god knows why he keeps being persisted with!

He has plenty of strokes but is extremely loose outside the off-stump. Technically worse than Hafeez and Shehzad.

Looks like most of these "A" team batsmen are batting line snails and struggle to score runs at a decent rate!

Slooooooooooooooowwwww batting.

Also why add Misbah to the team, when he's not going to bat ?

10 overs remaining. Iftikhar should retire out and let Misbah get some batting.

What a poor knock by Salahuddin.
Also, is Misbah even playing this game ? Adnan Akmal in now...

Anderson is quite poor in Asia, even Adnan Akmal is thrashing him :))

Hope this post doesn't come back to haunt me :murali

3 out. Useless selections of Sami Aslam and Khurram Manzoor. Also one of the highest run scorers last year, Ali Asad fails.

We must take overall FC average into account as well before selecting players.

Iftikhar Ahmed has even lesser FC average of 33 but he had a stellar FC season last year and he is on 85 now. It's just one innings.

England will struggle to bowl out Pak.

Pak will also struggle to bowl out England if Yasir Shah does not become Superman again.

England has much better players of spin in their ranks than Aus.

there are 2 types of selection one is ****** selection and the other is MERIT selection.2 guys selected on merit i.e.Faddy and Ifti only scored while all other ****** failed.our selectors have no shame.

I'm guessing Jos Buttler and Ben Stokes are also parchis then. Since they failed to score. Shame on the ECB selectors.

like who? Cook is the main one and Root is decent but others don't inspire confidence.

i only ment K Manzoor,U Amin, you tell me are they ****** or not????????????

Manzoor is clearly not one. He is a mediocre player with technical deficiencies but not a ******.

There's a lot of talk about Amin being one, I'm not sure if that's true or not. But he has played for Pakistan at U19 level so he clearly has got some talent; besides he didn't even get a bat today...

For you guys everyone is a ****** till they perform. K. Manzoor and U. Amin have been domestic run scorers in Pak domestic. Not to forget these are the guys who have been on the radar of the selectors for some time now.

Not really, both Ali and Rashid are practically nailed on unless we turn up and suddenly find a nice English style wicket and it suddenly becomes cloudy and the temperature halves, which I doubt.... Biggest debate is whether we need the extra seamer in Wood, and if we do there's still the opportunity to bring Hales (or Taylor could slot in the middle order instead) in for Buttler or Bell and Ali drops down.

englands bowling did well last time ( bar swann) its only they batted worse then us

hopefully same thing happens again

dont think we will see domination like when australia came over

Only Iftikhar Ahmed and Fawad Alam emerge with any real credit from that batting performance. But again its only one innings of one practice match so maybe we shouldn't read too much into it.

Really didnt understand the point in a 2 day game followed by another one? why not just play one four day game! would have made more sense.

Problem is where to fit in Fawad? He clearly has the credentials for a rugged and stubborn test batter but who to take out?

Only 1 person I can think of and thats Shafiq. Fawad would be a perfect lower order firefighter.

So what was the point of Misbah playing if he wasn't gonna bat? Was he just there to keep a close eye on Asghar and Gohar?

Anyway, I would like to see Fawad Alam play in the first test.

The video quality is so superior to anything we watch on our televisions. on ptv.

Kasam se, its like the match is taking place in Sydney or Melbourne..

Exactly. I noticed that as well when i went to gaddafi for the zimbok match. The grass looked so beautiful. I was astounded to see the difference broadcast's picture quality can bring. The gaddafi looks awful on PTV but is quite good if seen with a naked eye.

If this match is anything to go by, we might have our very first 0-0 series draw in a long time. These are dull pitches that will make it hard to do anything except bowl pies and block said pies.

10 wickets in 2 days is not that bad.

Plus Pakistani batsmen batted extra slow.

As I said somewhere else, Sharjah usually crumbles as days pass by, so we could actually see a result in the third test.

In the first two Misbah will try his best to score mighty scores (550-600) and put the opposition under pressure with scoreboard pressure, exactly what we did to Australians last year

Lol didn't even notice this match was in Sharjah, that makes Zafar's performance even better. He can easily replace Babar.

216 on a second day Sharjah pitch(flattest in the world) is atrocious batting.

TalentSpotterPk Zafar Gohar performed admirably that's why we should not judge any player by a small sample size during SRL A tour both he and Shahzaib Ahmed played only 1 match and people were writing both of them off.

Having said that Gohar likewise will have to perform in the next match to be in serious contention but I don't think he will be selected anymore because they have gone with Malik.

It all comes down to winning the toss.

That's precisely why it isn't.

Thanks for helping alleviate my fears.
