We were scheduled to cover most matches in the Pentangular this season (not all) for the first time ever with bbb and session by session bulletins, but the plan fell through at the last minute because of some problems with staff.
I can understand your disappointment because I am equally, if not more disappointed myself.
What we are planning to do from next season is to cover all Quaid trophy matches as well as the Pentang, ball by ball as well as proper match coverage for important games like the semis and the finals.
We made a start this season by covering the Quaid trophy final and we plan to increase this coverage next season.
As to what else has been rubbish about our coverage of Pakistan cricket, I'd like to know please.
Thanks for your mail,
Regards,
Osman Samiuddin

Speaking Pushtu or Calling your self a khan doest make anybody a Pathan, Monglian may be not a Pathan atleast that what my Grand father used to tell me

Of topic ,but Abdul Ghani khan was from the Female subclan so technically not a Pathan genitically. Any way who cares we are all inbreed mutts now.
Hash said:Yes I did.
I regret it now though because I've just had a couple of e-mails from Osman Samiuddin and he has put things into perspective for me. He's actually quite a nice chap and has to pretty much run the Pakistan section of cricinfo by himself.
And like any good fast bowler, he knows it....Lahoria said:10) Finally but most importantly Sohail Khan is very good with reverse swing!!!!
Sohail Khan: But when the ball gets old then I really become hard to play!

Agree with all of those. Watching Anwar Ali today and he looks just as impressive. His outswinger is quite deceptive, he bowls with good pace (looks around 84-86), gets decent bounce, and is generally quite aggressive. He should have a bright future.Lahoria said:After watching 2nd day highlightes I made following observations:
1) Anwar Ali is not an allrounder at all but his bowling seems to have improved and now he has the ability to bowl outswing.
2) Naumanullah shuffles right infront of stumps and would be a very good candidate for LBW.
3) Younis was more active while on the field than Afridi and plannned Afridi's wicket.
4) Yasir Hameed is still CRAP.
5) Wasti needs to go on a diet ASAP
6) Shakeel is pretty decent he swings the bowl both ways and bowls on a good length.
7) Both Kaneria and Afridi were horrendous with the ball.
8) Sarfraz can hold his own in batting.
9) The bounce on the pitch is dying with ever over.
10) Finally but most importantly Sohail Khan is very good with reverse swing!!!!
Osman's a really cool guy. He's laid- back, down to earth, knows his cricket, and understands the system in Pakistan. He's a great representative for Pakistani cricket journalism.Hash said:Yes I did.

Hash said:Congratulations to the flat track bully Younis Khan for making a 100.
asifp said:Considering both teams struggles to get runs in the first innings I dont know how you can call him a flat track bully
iafzal said:Well done again YK.
He is easily the 2nd best batsman Pakistan has but still get hate from many Ppers for being in the team.
I guess some people just can't get over his captaincy thing.
asifp said:I think no one questions his Test performance. A few people are just pissed at his ODI performances.

whats Afridi's bowling figures Shiekh bhaiSheikh said:Excellent delivery by Afridi to dismiss Younis. Floater that pitched and went with the arm, catching Younis on the crease and in line with the stumps. End of a fabulous innings by Younis. 111 classy runs. N.W.F.P: 228-6. With the 1st innings lead, that amounts to 282-6.
Should be a good chase.

thanks...it will be interesting to see if they go with him or Y Arafat .Sheikh said:8-1-24-1
Little confused here. By ''they'' do you mean the pakistan team? If so, then in what role? Afridi as the lone spinner, batting at 7? Arafat as the 3rd seamer batting at 8? What position are they fighting for?PlanetPakistan said:thanks...it will be interesting to see if they go with him or Y Arafat .
I suspect for the 5th bowler's spotSheikh said:Little confused here. By ''they'' do you mean the pakistan team? If so, then in what role? Afridi as the lone spinner, batting at 7? Arafat as the 3rd seamer batting at 8? What position are they fighting for?
Kuptaan sahib will assume the 5th bowler's role and bat at 6. Here's the team:PlanetPakistan said:I suspect for the 5th bowler's spot
I am ok with that team as long as Kaptaan sahib is willing to bowl at least 10-12 overs a day.Sheikh said:Kuptaan sahib will assume the 5th bowler's role and bat at 6. Here's the team:

Saw him fumble a few against Sohail khan that came to him fast and swinging. That's a little worrying; you'd want akmals competitor to be as safe as a house behind the stumps.karachiite said:Sarfaraz is a bundle of energy behind the stumps. He runs from one end to the other between the overs. Looking quite comfortable keeping to Danish and Afridi.
Well, Danish has had a lot more bowling to do than Afridi so I've seen more of him. Danish troubled all the batsmen (bar younis) and the tail especially had no idea against him. He didn't bowl many long hops and was generally quite consistent, though he did bowl too many doosras for my liking.the true passionist said:Who has been the better spinner no just in terms of stats but in terms of threat to the batsmen?
Afridi or Kaneria
