Hendricks is 31 btw.

It's disappointing to see Hamza not get chances in tests or LO.
 
No doubt South Africa is struggling right now but you can see that they have the attitude and the mentality of a quality team. They will get out of this slump in a few years.

On the other hand, Pakistan doesn’t look like a professional team. It was the case in the Test series as well.

I thought he was in his 20s. Looks a late bloomer, but he should still be good for 4-5 years at least.

He hasn't been convincing when he has played but in these 2 games he looks improved. I can see why SA kept sticking by him.

170 would have been enough I think, but need to bear in mind most Pakistan batsmen either gifted their wickets or were psyched out. Hard to tell what a good score is when the batting line up is this dumb.
 
This is really bringing back flashbacks to 2015 where under Misbah the captain we sent one of the worst LOI sides ever seen to the World Cup. Younis Khan, Shafiq, Ehsan Adil, Sohaib Maqsood, Ahmed Shehzad, Nasir Jamshed, Rahat Ali and Yasir Shah all went. That is what Misbah the revolutionary produced for us in a world cup year.

Just 2 years after we got rid of him all of the above were discarded and we won the the CT.

Misbah has again been entrusted with responsibility for a WC year and this is what he is producing for us again.

We will be humiliated in the world t20 and once again we will need to start from scratch once Misbah has finished his destruction of Pakistan LOI cricket.
 
There is no method to Usman’s bowling. He just bowls variations at random. There is no set-up, no plan. Nothing.

You can see why he failed in FC cricket and didn’t impress Australia.
 
Days like this will happen with Usman Qadir. You just have to accept the bad with the good. Look at Adil Rashid. The guy goes for a million runs every 6th or 7th game but also bowls superbly in between. England have accepted that and he's now a vital cog in their limited overs setup.

Usman isn't a great bowler but he's still head and shoulders above Shadab for me. Shadab has no wicket taking penetration.

The new players Haider Ali, khusdil and Talat aren't able to find their footing in international cricket. They don't know what shots to play on which balls. They are occupying important batting positions and are a walking wicket. Pakistan is playing with 3 players less.

I think Mark Boucher said if AB going to play at the World T20 he would need to play some international T20s before the tournament . South Africa don't have lots of internationals before the T20 World Cup . So I don't see him playing for South Africa again.
 
For once Usman had an average game and Pak are losing. Zafar in place of Itftikar would hv been handy he probably can bat better than Ifti.
 
Qadir's test is against players that will pick it from the hand.
He bowls very slow. Will be troubled if they pick him.

I said earlier , if you get a wicket or two , this mediocre SA Team can still lose. They are really poor team now, If the play Bangladesh right now , they will loose.
 
Ball is still turning. Maybe Iftikhar should be given an over from Nawaz’s end or Shaheen can be bowled for two overs straight away

Haider has not played enough first class so need to be given very long rope., as he has always shown ability with his shots just need experience. Other two shown no ability and are lot more experienced.
 
This could have been a good game if even one of the newcomer batsmen had done something, and Rauf could have been kept away from the ball as long as possible.
 
Usman has been bit unlucky today with missed catch, no ball and full toss slip that went for 6,bowled many pitches as well.

Or even Qadir would have bowled like he did in the first game. Pak played poor cricket as a whole I think and even then if few things could have been done better there would have been a chance
 
Yeh I would get rid of rock thrower and try hasan ali or hasnain
Rauf is a busted flush
 
Haris Rauf doing well in BBL and playing for Qalandars is a big curse for Pakistan
 
Khushdil, Iftikhar and Rauf have been big disappointments in this match
 
Khusdil has weaknesses. He is a good legside player, his offside game is questionable. Misbah should have been smarter and sent in a different player at that phase of the game. The management seems pretty clueless as well. When are we going to get rid of the current management? I though Misbah was leaving after the sa series.
 
Klassen looks a good player. I wonder how SA will fit him in when all their batters are available.
 
I think Khsudil played two overs worth of dot balls at a crucial time. Faheem came in. Bit late. That's where we were short of runs. Another mistake was giving Rauf the second over when he clearly struggled with the new ball yesterday. Why did the management not learn?
 
Now we are getting Miller into form for tomorrow and the series in April. Mashallah.
 
If we end up losing the match the blame should certainly goto a series of bad decisions made by the management.

Indeed.

Some very poor planning by team mgt. Do they even look at stats? Do they even know their players strengths and weaknesses?

Or is it just training hard and bowling 'phaast'' ?
 
Why are they playing night games with so much dew.
Toss becomes a bigger factor than it should.
 
Pak needs Shadab, Imad, Fakhar, Hafeez, Hassan and even put in Amir, Malik and Sharjeel for world T20. Meanwhile hopping Azam khan also reduces weight. :mw1
