That was a great over from Shami without having any luck.

Too many runs conceded. SA will have it easy now.

SA well on their way, now into the double digits, this loss is not on any umpiring or controversies.. This series loss is purely on the Indian top order batting.....

This series has won by Peterson, Elgar and their bowlers. Indian batting has been a let down on lively wickets bar one inning by Pants.

Too many Man of the series contenders for South Africa.
Keegan, Elgar, Rabada and Jansen.
Keegan most likely to win if he remains not out here.

So disappointed with our batting, this was a great opportunity to finally win a series here.

Why don't they use a ZOOMER in close nick review scenarios?? Do they don't have that one for this series??

Game Over. Congrats SA. Its really commendable how this SA team has come back after the initial setbacks. This team has a good future.

The pitches were mainly bowler friendly so you expect main bowlers to do well, but Peterson has played many good innings here, and to think he has very little experience in test arena.

Peitersen has been good but he needs to tighten up his off side game a bit. He's lucky to be still there with so many plays and misses and now a dropped catch. Also he needs to work on his tendency to close the face on straight balls.

One good thing out of this loss, hopefully this will be the end of Rahane and Pujara.. I dont even care if a FTB like Iyer takes one of their place..

The young man Petersen leading his country to victory here.

Umesh the usual spray guy bowling either wide outside the offstump or on leg side.. His action is such that he will always be a bowler that will go for a lot of runs, a total useless that will occasionally shine

He offered a dolly in first innings too but Rahul couldn't catch it. He was at 4 at that time!

India have lost a golden opportunity it seems. Terrible selections. SA have never fielded a weaker side in history

I would just get Ashwin in there for the heck of it.. Game is gone might as well try some new things..

Actually, ppl need to start giving some credit to SA batting, they are quite underrated and talented.. Guys like Petersen and Buhvama has really impressed.

Kohli has always been a very poor selector of teams. Hardly ever gets it right.

On paper its a weak batting lineup. The tail starts virtually at 6 with newbie verryne. Markram is in the worst form of life. Actually the standards have been so low from either side that couple of 40's from bavuma look like hundreds.
This was india's series with better selections. I could not believe it when Vihari was kept out for this game.
Keegan and dussen have barely played 10 tests

Peterson is not the only one whose catches have been dropped in the series, but he made most of his chances and showed very good temparement and talent to score so many fifties in the series, on pitches where you are likely to give many chances to bowling side. An inexperienced batsman vs very experienced and quality bowling line up he has been brilliant.

Well Vihari did his bit with the blockathon last match to help lose that game.

But Vihari would have been better here than wither Pujara or Rahane though, but I believe he is injured...

Contrary to popular opinion. I dont think the indian bowlers have been that great this series either.
None of the southafrican batters average in the 40s and they have a long tail.
The indian batting on the other hand has been weak for a while.

Only way India could have won this match was by getting SA into a situation like 40/3 yesterday! So credit goes to SA batsman who are much better compared to Indian counterparts! Indian bowlers would have probably defended against Australia and England. Another important reason is South African bowlers are brilliant...

I thought South Africa was an easier team compared to Australia and England (especially this time with no ABD, Amla, etc) That belief increased after India winning the first match. South Africa is still a tougher team (at least in their home)

Subcontinental teams struggle in SENA even against weak opposition.

Its not a weak team by any imagination. Probably it will be understood when this team grows into confidence after this win (against a strong team) and reciprocate the same against other teams...

weakest SA test side since re-admission vs Greatest chest thumbing arrogant banghra dancing Test team of all time. Huge shock on the cards.

Disappointment but not humiliation.

This series is competitive, our batting is not great.
We are playing with 3 duds like Ashwin, Pujara and Rahane.

They got weakest ever Indian batting line up to bowl to so that helped a great deal. Same SA team will easily smoke lesser teams at home.

None of this team's batsmen will get into a 2nd all time Indian batting line up except for Kohli.

It's a weak team compared to the past SA sides.....infact the weakest SA batting I've ever seen

But yeah...it's not a bad team and should do well in future specially at home

its funny what a few games can do, we were told this india team is ATG test team, couple of games later we are told this is indias weakest batting line up, make your mind up guys :))

Keegan gone, india have a chance now with SA weak lower order.

So it isn't the worst ever Indian batting line up! Ok.

Whatever helps you sleep better at night!

Lot of talking on the field now - chirping - India on a high at the moment - tough period of play for SA

1 more indian wicket and i can see SA going into panic mode.

True
If India win some posters says its ATG team and others says opponent teams are weak.
If India lose some posters says weakest batting lineup and others says ATG team lost.hehehe

Posters can twist whatever they want:rabada2

It is, by far. Anyone denying that doesn't know anything about our batting culture.

Its the weakest batting line up of 21st century especially comsodering the form of kohli pujara rahane over last couple of years. I mean what does the current superstar KL average?? 35?

negative batting by SA here is letting india back into this test.

This. It's such a pity that Rahul is considered a batting superstar in India today, that's how much the mighty Indian batting has fallen during last 2-3 years.

South Africa should not be afraid now. They should come out of the shell.

Score doesn’t seem to have moved for an hour

What are SA doing?

Bumrah has again been expensive in 2nd innings just like the last test.

SA will win easy enough but this SA batting is also terrible in my opinion, as I said few days back this series has been good to watch due to two ordinary batting teams playing each other on lively pitches.

Biff praising BCCI for touring, and thanking his ex-rivals for the favour. SS halftime.
