Having said that, this is the type of wickets where Jonno will go for runs. Just his natural pace will send a lot of balls to the boundary.
 
Mark Nicholas needs to stop whingeing about the pitch. This is the pitch we have to play on, get over it

Yeah and it's not like this is anything different to what Snt Georges is always like. People must get out of their heads that cricket has to be "the Johnson" show. S.A have been rolling sides for low scores (three times under 50 in the past 2 years) ages before Johnson came back on the scene and the Australians announced themselves "the worlds best bowling attack". We like helpful conditions as much as anyone. Like over excitable school girls some people.

And if he's only going to bowl at 143kmph max no pitch was going to help him anyway.

Mark Nicholas now doing an Energetic and whingeing about the crowd. Though he does have a point, there's hardly anyone at the ground watching SA grind it out.

Dude you got Johnson on the brain lol. You need to chillax a bit. He's flavour of the month because of his performances, and fair enough. He's not the first and won't be the last to do that. Just because Jonno is being praised does not diminish your team's achievements over the past number of years.

And the murdering batting that happen up to that point to get us close escaped you ?

There was nothing to block at that point anyway. Everyone was on the boundary and they were bowling short and wide asking us to play stupid shots to win with Morne Morkel and Imran Tahir to come. S.A won the series in the end as we knew we would. Smart cricket.

India realized that SA had abandoned the chase and then they did not want to risk giving away easy runs. Here is the extract from Cricinfo proving how SA chickened out of the chase well before India's tactics to make the game safe for them. India realized that South Africa had backed out of the chase, and they wanted to make sure SA did not win by accident.

Check out the last three overs fully and you will find that the Saffers never wanted to win. They were not even taking the singles that were there for the taking. They were swinging blindly and missing due to their choke. They left balls that were kissing the off stump. Every one who watched the match live knows that SA shut shop at the fall of Faf, they first wanted to ensure draw before going for the win.

Best batsman in the world by a country mile. SA really need to up their scoring though. Need to put AUS batting lineup under pressure.
 
S.A should try bat until an hour after tea. Get 500 on the board and take the juice out of the legs of the Aussie bowlers and the spirit out of the team.

Unless we get a few soon we could be facing 500, guess it's a perfect chance for our bats to show they have improved on these sorts of slow pitches, i hope they have but i have my doubts.

To be honest we aren't normally good on slow pitches either. I think apart from being slow this one is just damn flat and no swing or seam. I'd be surprised if Oz didn't score 400 plus themselves.
