Why do these great players carry on when they are no longer world class players and are getting old?
I am sensing and hoping a huge collapse... with reverse swing

Pommie Mbangwa is the most annoying commentator in the world. Even worse than Sidhu or Jayasuriya.
Mohit: "not to jinx it, but i think this is the first time in my cricket watching history of 23 years that an Ind batting line up has shown discipline. Even the tests we've won overseas earlier, there was either flamboyant batting or sheer individual brilliance, but never this application. Irrespective of where this test heads, I guess the Ind batters would have won respect."
Looks like a reasonably flat wicket, India should be looking at 350+
I somehow fear Kohli is a 100-120ish player, where he settles for a century but doesn't really go big.
is back. Need to score, but treat with caution. Watch out for the wrong'ne
Only in Tests![]()
SA openers alone can score 150 against our trundlers -_-
India have played well for the most part. The only downside is they haven't really kept the scoreboard ticking, to force the SA bowlers to make mistakes. Obviously they want to keep their wickets safe but from what I can see it's not a wicket that has a lot of gremlins in it. There's not a lot of seam movement and the ball isn't really swinging. They don't want these bowlers bowling too many deliveries in a row to the same batsmen or eventually they will get out. But I guess with 3 soft dismissals they will be kicking themselves. Need to find some singles and keep rotating the strike, and try and hit Tahir while he is on, he looks like a grade A hack.
Kohli looks set for a ton which will be very well deserved.
^ 3RPO isn't bad - works out to 270 off 90. The Indian batting plan was sound - Kohli to score runs and the other end to hold the fort. Che's untimely dismissal sort of disturbed their plans though.
It isn't bad when you have the bowling to take 20 wickets. But we need a special batting performance to do well here. Kohli has scored at a strike rate of 75 which clearly shows that the others haven't really tried to score much. SA weather conditions can change quite quickly and hence it is important to score quickly when the ball is not doing much in the air.

Kohli has played positively and hit balls that are there to be hit. I feel like the others have just tried to drop anchor and survive. Part of the art of leaving the ball is knowing which balls to NOT leave.
