Younis Khan driving well. Just failed to beat the fielder in the last over. The pitch seems to be easing up.

No pressure on the Pak batsmen. They need to bat out the day. The runs will come. At the moment, the priority is to play out some balls, play out some time. That is what Test cricket is about.

thats the same guy who said he has not been picked up by any batsmen yet....oh i guess the pakis are doing a great job against him....

What i like about YK is his self-belief, and he has been successful in instilling that self-belief in some other members of the team too.
 
We have had the better of Mendis whenever we have faced him, well almost..

who better than rameez to say someone is a team man like Fawad!

Rameez is the guy who got to his 50 in the 50th over of the 92 WC campaign V WI losing us the match and damaging the cause for his ton.
 
Younis Khan lucky to survive. Edged but didn't carry. 4 runs instead. The ball starting to turn. Encouraging signs for the bowlers

his flip flop is beyond understanding...dude you are a prof, act like one and stop this crap..

its amazing how he criticize everyone and everything ....i wonder if he ever pass 20 runs 20 or more time ...if he was playing today, he wouldn't even have made it to the pak z team...

I remember how he used to criticise every Pak player given slightest of chance during commentary when he was also the supremo of PCB!

In a Series in India when Wasim was skipper, crazed Hindu fanatics were chanting anti-Pak slogans, Rameez commentating repeated one on air ...."Yahan shaan wahana shaan, Pakistan banne ga Hindustan!" he thought it was amusing...

Pakistan must get a lead of at least 300 to stand a good chance of either winning this match or drawing it.

Anything less than that on this picth and Pakistan are flirting with danger.
 
Pakistan are in a position to drive this home now. This is the best time to bat on this pitch. We need to horde it as long as possible and do the deed with the ball when it crumbles.

Mendis is being dominated here. It seems like the frontline Pakistani batsmen have no trouble playing him. He has been rather anonymous in this series. Yes I know wrapped up the tail last innings.
 
We need to play SL more often to bring Mendis bowling stats back to the playing field. He averages 64 against us (and even then most of his wickets have been against tail-enders), while he averages 18 against other nations.
 
Another 182 runs needed with 9 wickets in hand. 182 runs to save/win the game that is. Inshallah they will get that and more
 
one more record highest 2nd wicket partnership on this ground by Younis and Fawad of 184runs
