Sri Lanka would look to keep the Australian first Innings total down ....... batting last will be very difficult here.
 
Mendis should have played instead of Ranadiv. Ranadiv is more suited to shorter formats.
 
I'd have played 3 spinners on this track.:))) was this Jaysuria?
 
Ranadiv is more of a restrictive bowler, suited to shorter formats, Mendis has more variation, should have played this test.
 
Terrible decision. Clear inside edge given not out. SL referred it but 3rd umpire didn't overturn it, despite replay showing two noises and obvious inside edge.

A difficult one for the on-field umpire Kettleborough admittedly, but should have been picked up by 3rd umpire. What planet is he on?
 
SL have prepared a turner lol, I doubt this test would go past day 3. Its turning a mile already. Not good for SL though as they'll be batting last.
 
The Ashes story continues, everyone in batting order has failed. Hussey and Haddin to rescue again, if they don't get to 250 at least SL will have an upper hand.
 
Now i don't really care how Aus Bat in this inning. i want to see Aus bat 2nd inning and 5 down :D
 
Is simon Taufel commentating on this game? that would be interesting to here!
 
^ I don't think he should be judged based on just this innings.

This pitch looks very poor. There is so much turn, uneven bounce already on day 1. SL have prepared a dustbowl.
 
Intresting to see how Aussies bowl on this surface. could be a low scoring test match.

We need to get 250, reckon that might be a decent score here.
But our bowlers (by the way 3 of the 4 didn't play our last test match) will need to tame these FTBs.

This pitch will be horrific to bat on in the fourth inning.

It's not the best batting track, first innings scores will be crucial. One more wicket for Lanka and they should run through the tail. A hundred lead on here will be huge for them.
 
Hussey plays and runs like a bloke 5 or 10 years younger than him'delf. He could go on for years.
 
Haddin out cheaply on sporting wicket shocka.

That is because Haddin is a very average player.

We have started to regenerate the side, he should be next to go.

Up to the tail to do their thing as usual. Once Watson goes out we are always scrapping for a run. Dunno how the tail will handle the Destroyer though :42:
 
Maybe missed a trick by not giving Horrors another chance. He's good value on these kind of wickets
 
Bit harsh there RA, the track isn't anywhere close to a 1st day wicket. A SL 1st Test sabotage job is this. Hussey nearly got bowled by one from Herath which turned a good foot and a bit in the 2nd session.
 
I like this Aussie team on the whole sans Haddin. Should have been Timmeh
