Wonder when we check this thread in a year's time, how many would have advanced to the top level of cricket?

Why doesn't Ali Zaryab, Abdullah Shafiq or Mohammad Mohsin Khan get promoted?

Muhammad Saad has an average of 25 this season and has no future with Pakistan cricket still he continues to plays. Coaches need to memorize by heart that they are being paid 5 lacs monthly to PROVIDE players for Pakistan otherwise they will be sacked

Out of form .He was very successful with pakistan A and also did well in last first class season .So calling a 29 year old have no future for Pakistan is load of rubbish and shows your lack of information about the player😡

Played 93 matches and an average of 31.3 is the future prospect of Pakistan cricket then God help PCT :))

Nice try .

He improved in last couple of year which also awarded him spot in pakistan A which he grabbed with both hand and capitalize on it

Improvement by only averaging 25 this season with Kokabura balls being used :))

He should be demoted and performers should be rewared. The whole point of 1st and 2nd XI.

I am not sure what the process for selection will be next season, but some of the teams are relatively imbalanced.

The problem with last system and new system is the mentality. They don't have the progessive thinking to spot a young talent and groom him from an early age, and give that player consistent run to progess

Example

Zeeshan Malik had only played 8 FC matches in three season before this year

It's not even about progressive thinking, it's just that team managements are still, by and large, favouring experience over other factors. However, this is a long-term process. Hopefully, under-performers this season will be dropped to the 2nd XIs next year.

At one point Zain Abbas was not far from the Pakistan team. Assuming this is the Zain Abbas

Good to see Abdullah Shafique promoted to the CP 1st XI - Batting on 73* on FC debut right now.

Yea we need to let the system do its job over time, its already demoted a few oldies to the 2XI, and it should continue to favor performance over nostalgia.
