[VIDEOS] 3-Day practice match between Australia A [122, 91/2] and Pakistan [428, 152/3d] drawn

Ted there is an outside chance albeit a small one I hope we bat better then what we did in South Africa as without runs on the board the inexperienced Pacers will falter

The good thing about this series is that we have 2 warmups on very bouncy wickets and one of them was against a pretty strong side for a warm up. Before the South Africa series we had one warm up game and it was on a very low and slow pitch against a weak side.

The batsmen and bowlers should be much more acclimatised to conditions before the first test than they were in South Africa. Also the South African pitches are a lot harder to bat on in general.

Call me an optimist but I think we can surprise Aus in atleast one test a lot has to go our way but I believe Aus are beatable and we have enough firepower to eek out a test

I'd be optimistic too if there was any chance of getting Steve Smith out.

Yeah he's a freak but maybe one failure in a game deciding innings can happen to anyone. My biggest worry is we will not put enough on the board, in Aus a test you need accumulative score of 650-700 runs in a test match to win I struggle to see us doing that

Pakistan won the warm up game in the 2016-17 tour as well. I hope this team realizes that playing against the actual national Australian team will be a different ball game altogether.

I am not too worried about our batting, my main worry is the bowling. Our bowlers only picked up a total of 33 wickets on the 2016-17 tour. You cannot win test matches if you can't pick up 20 wickets. The Indians have focused on strengthening their bowling choices and it has paid massive dividends.

This warmup was against a tougher opposition and on a tougher pitch. So I think the team will be more confident than last time. This team has way more potential than the 2016/17 team. I doubt they'll win but they have a much higher chance than last time. Our pace attack included Wahab, Rahat and Imran Sr last time, it was dreadful. Amir also was average.

He bowled ok. Obviously not a lot of assistance of the pitch but quite a few times he beat the Aussie with his little spin and straighter ones.

He didn't give the ball nearly as much flight as he should have. He was bowling like he was in the UAE. In Australia you have to loop it up.
