There's plenty of batting talent in India. Wouldn't worry about that at all. As I've said before it isn't that India can't bat out of the subcontinent, they've done it before, it's that their main batsmen are either too old and getting on, or they're out of form (except for maybe Sehwag who despite early on his career with a couple of away knocks, doesn't regularly perform out of the subcontinent any more). Plus India's openers are still youngish so will play for a good couple more years. Always easier in my opinion to replace batsmen down the order than finding new openers.
Bowling as it is at the moment is still a worry. Time is running out for Zaheer, he ain't going to be there forever, and India need to try people and devise a plan to replace him when he indeed does retire. Persisting with the likes of Sharma, Sreesanth, Vinay Kumar isn't going to solve anything. Spinners are good, particularly Ashwin who I think will be a solid replacement for Harbhajan.
