Lol this reminds me of NZ away test where our batsmen were seeing off the new ball and lo and behold the second new ball was due and they were still seeing off the first one
 
Ahmed almost spoiled the good job so far. Openers are doing well, once Gabriel & Holder gets tiered, Bishu & Joshep will release the pressure. PAK must plan to reach tea zero down, even at 2/over - by that time ball should be 38 overs old.

Azhar Ali also had a barren last test. A slow and steady 500 will be just what the doctor ordered, at the same time wearing out the pitch for the spinners to bowl in WI's 2nd inns.

100 ball 20 is unacceptable unless u r battling out a draw on 5th day pitch
and it is not such a great pitch for bowling. Shahzad is playing half vollies straight back into the hands of bowler or fielders, such a lethargic batsman he is
 
pakistan team strategy.

1. See off new ball from 1-50 Overs.
2. Now we got wicket in hands, lets try to accelerate between 51-80 overs.
3. Loose few wickets during 51-80 overs, lets stabilize the innings.
4. New ball is here at 81st over, repeat step 1

This is incredibly awful display of cricket from Pakistan. This is no.1 ranked team few weeks ago against the worst team of top ten.

The fact that they have never won a series in the WI one way or the other, is also a contributing factor to this very cautious approach. Not wanting to give anything away.

WI is such a pathetic team that this record shouldn't be even on the minds of our players, but alas they are a bunch of selfish fools.

Some you sound like you have never watched test cricket. This sort of stuff can happen, some timesi t happens on tricky pitches and this one is keeping low at times to such an extent that when someone like Gabriel pitches it back of a length, it bounces barely above ankle height.

The batsmen need to be careful and then build towards atleast 100-120 by the end of the day. Tomorrow, the pitch gets worse but the batsmen will be fresh and more willing to assert themselves.
 
All the people whinging are forgetting one thing, if the top order can tuk tuk for another day and a half it means Misbah can walk to the wicket with a decent lead and take the record back from McCullum

Don't lump Azhar in with Shehzad. His SR is perfectly fine for a Test match opener. Shehzad meanwhile would make Chris Tavare proud.

in my opinion Azhar is better than Shehzad in EVERY format

Easy way to determine who is better out of any two Pakistan batsmen.

Ask yourself which one is hated more on PP and you will have your answer.

Incorrect, Shehzad has more haters than Azhar, but Azhar is the better batsman in all formats.
