The day of reckoning, I reckon!

West Indies 312 & 264/9 (102 ov); Pakistan 393

West Indies lead by 183 runs with 1 wicket remaining

Pakistan have a tough task at hand as the lead is not menial but can they do it?

Best ever chance to win in the Caribbean.

If we don't do it today we never will.

There's still always third test.

Even a draw would be a good result here. Why i don't think we should panic too much. Just play out the overs. tbh there's enough time, I'm sure if we play out the day we'll win regardless if we bat slow.

If history teaches us anything, we will collapse at the latter part of the innings. Better play normal pace, not too aggressive but not too cautious as well.

Only way West Indies can win this is if Devandra Bishoo has one of his good days, and our line up has one of 'those' days.

Otherwise, we should really be able to chase down 190 odd, albeit on day 5, against this West Indies attack.

With the number of runs, time should not be a factor. If we bat out 80 overs, we will get to 190 odd - draw should be out of the question.

Draw is out of the question....... We'll either win this or horribly bottle and lose it in the final session

WI chased down 194 v England in the Bridgetown Test in 2015 in the 4th inns. The target right now is probably the upper limit of what I think we can chase but you never know with us.

Just need to avoid early wickets in the chase.

Pitch didn't look unplayable yesterday but there was uneven bounce and a lot of rough. Its one of those where you're never really settled as a batsman.

the openers have to start well then it will be easy.

the only thing I want now is that we go all out and play a bit aggressively, in quasi-ODI mode, no point in tuk-tuk marathon, should look to finish it in 60 overs

Test for Azhar. He got a century in the first innings but needs to follow it up with a half century here at least. Will be interesting to see if he goes into a shell and gets out due to negativity, or play a solid role, SR of 40-50, and see us through

If we do that we will lose by 70 runs. Our batsmen know one way of playing, it is better if they employ that approach since time isn't off an issue.

Pakistan should win it. 187 isn't all that deal. I back Pakistan to win it quite comprehensivEly.

No need to try to change your style especially on a day 5 pitch. Do the basics, block the good balls and put away the loose deliveries. Problems occur only when we stray from the basics which Ahmad Shehzad was especially guilty of in the first innings; as a result he was going at a SR of 30 next to Azhar Ali who was going at 50+.

Its not an easy pitch, look at those cracks and divots.

Shehzad going for a personal record of amount of balls played without a run :afridi

Azhar hardly ever plays aggressive and yet he gets out playing aggressive for no reason.

Need at least two batsmen to stand up here. A 100 run partnership will kill the game

Curious what Azhar's 2nd innings record is actually.

Real test for Babar, if he can lead the run chase then it will do much good for him.

Dear oh dear.

Two cheap wickets given away.

Massive uphill struggle now.

Windies have to be favourites now on a fifth day wicket with cracks and uneven bounce...

Shehzad after Misbah's record now, how many balls left to stay on 0?

now all is on the young shoulders of Younis and Misbah

There you go, the floodgates have been opened, won't be surprised if we lose another in quick succession, its expected with these bunch of mental midgets in a pressure runchase on crumbling Day 5 wicket.
If anyone expects Pakistan to pull off a flawless run chase without any drama on a history defining occasion, then you're seriously deluded.

I turn away for five minutes and two wickets fall, goddammit.

I need to go to the toilet but it seems like Yasir and Amir will be batting by the time I get back :))

wickets countdown has begun. Again babar playing too far up the order , pair for him playing down the leg side.

Shadab and Abbas wil win this easily for us.

Called it since yesterday when the lead went above 80 runs. West Indies will win this. So predictable from Pakistan.

Epic choke!!! Told you anything over 150 is too much for our fragile batting

Stay where you are.. wait until lunch 😁

Stay where you are.. wait until lunch

No chance, I'm dying for a crap :hafeez2

Don't worry. Like I said yesterday, it's all part of the plan

Nah, plan is to give them a big enough lead for Misbah to be able to score 99* in a heroic chase.

Misbah is going to be 95* and he'll slog Bishoo down the ground to get to his century but the ball will land two inches short of the rope :salute

Barbar needs to be persisted with.
If anything drop him down to 5 or 6.

Shezhad playing with hard hands.
Full of nerves and tension.

My stream is lagging behind by quite a few deliveries, checked the cricinfo scorecard and another wicket has fallen, this is beyond poor start to a runchase, too early to say but I can't see Pakistan chasing this down on this sorta pitch, ominous signs.

Shezzy boi off the mark, Windies quaking in their boots :shezzy

Babar needs to be moved down the order. Test number 3 is a position he is finding too tough to cope with.

Lol what were people expecting that somehow or the other we'll champion this chase ?? :)) :))

I've been watching cricket for 17/18 years now and trust me this is how it goes....ALWAYS !!

So long as one of YK and/or Misbah are there, should be Pakistan's game.

Shezzi with the boundary. Cue him getting out next over.

Exactly.. same here. I would have been more surprised if we were 40 odd for no loss at this stage.

Chalo, it begins. Golden boy bags a pair.

Ironically, doesn't matter how dire the situation is and inspite of your acknowledgement of it, still it won't curtail your utterly jingoistic and overly optimistic posts.

Mate I've been watching for 37 years and over time I've learnt not to make strong predictions.

The only thing that is predictable about cricket is that it is an unpredictable game.

The game isn't over until the fat lady is singing.
