I watched a French movie called A Prophet starring Tahar Rahim.

What a movie, put simply a great prison/crime/gangster movie delivered with brutal realism.

I highly recommend it.

..instant classic, top notch performance by Tahar Rahim.

Dirty Pretty Things (2002)

Very good movie and I loved its ending. A Must Watch Movie

Blood Diamond. I have had the DVD since it released on DVD three years ago I think but somehow never watched it. I was in Lahore recently and one boring afternoon, decided to watch it. It was quite alright.
It was awesome movie and Oscar winner too.

Dinner for Schmucks..

wth!! copy of Bheja Fry.. lool eventhough Bheja Fry was a copy of French movie.. but seriously, Holywood copyin Bollywood now..sad

wasted dollars at cinema

Just finished, "Inception".

Brilliant movie. Fantastic.

Well thought out and highly interesting.

FINALLY going to see Tere Bin Laden today...got mixed reviews from the mates so far...dekhtey hain.

'Once Upon a Time in Mumbai' (from Bollywood):

Well, after watching 'I hate Luv Storys' and 'Khatta Meetha' another rubbish film would have caused me a heart attack, but thankfully enough it wasn´t to be:9:. This was a very, very good film. Ajay Devgan´s role as Sultan Mirza was brilliant and his dialogues were highly impressive:14:.

I agree.

I watched this movie a few days ago. It was quite enjoyable and well filmed.

Tere Bin Laden - disappointing for the most parts, but that Noora guy was excellent.

the Game by david fincher, this film was in ym que for ages and it didnt dissapoint me actually it was awsome 8/10

'Red Alert' (from Bollywood, starring Sunil Shetty, Samira Reddy, Vinod Khanna, Nassiruddin Shah):

Very, very boring:22:.........

Khatta Meetha - -99/10
Rubish, complete waste of time and the title has nothing to do with the movie

Watched Aisha two nights ago - the movie itself was pretty decent, although the plot and storyline is a bit thin - I'd give the movie itself a 7/10. Sonam Kapoor was absolutely gorgeous, 10/10 for her.. and the girl from New York was really hot too. :D

Altogether I'd give it a 7.5, or an 8/10.

and fine AZ, you win, Sonam is very good looking :D

Aisha - who cares about the movie...Sonam :60: :60: :60:

Aarti looked like Angelina! I actually enjoyed the movie, was not bad for a fluffy piece of candy floss.

Yeah, she did.. Aarti/Ashima/Alliya (they kept getting her name wrong :))) ), her name's Lisa Haydon and she's a supermodel :akhtar

I liked the line "somebody's got a serious case of b*t*hitis", certainly applies to some people here :D

"Once upon a time in mumbai"

pretty good if you like the satya/bhai type movies. Ajay as haji mastan and Emraan as D ibrahim did a good job. captured bombay very well too through the 60's/70's

what was so Bhai type about it?

just dialogue after dialogue.

what was so Bhai type about it?

just dialogue after dialogue.

i think they wanted to recreate the era of 70's bollywood where dialogbaazi ruled, some of the bombastic dialog was intentional perhaps?
but yeah they overdid it.

it was more about the history of the bhai log in bombay , not actual dishoom dishoom.

i did like how they recreated that era with the clothes , art design etc. seemed authentic.

What's that saying, about someone who keeps doing the same thing over and over, and expects a different result every time... :malik

well this one I was really looking forward to, rest are just to kill time ;-)

'Daag - The Fire'

Truly a Sanjay Dutt special:14:! I admire his work each time I watch this old classic of his:19:!

The Expendables

was okay, nothin special... all action which was expected but a crap story, which was expected

hmm 6.5/10 overall for me

'Tere Bin Laden'

Was a nice light comedy film:)). However, it could have been a lot better as the idea was a good one. Its implementation should have been better. The end failed to make any sense to me.

Old Hong Kong Chow Yun Fat movie HARD BOILED..

Next on my list "The Killer"

Those two John Woo movies are from the golden era of Hong Kong Cinema..

Hard Boiled was amazing..

Classic, watched it when it first came out, it was hugely anticipated as sanjay had been in prison for a couple of years before hand and out of action

Didnt disappoint, great revenge/ action flick

on imdb the rating is like 8.0

thats coz imdb's retarded

ppl jus rate randomly 10 even b4 watchin it.. flawed rating system..

Expendables was nothin memorable... only thing memorable was an action packed cast.. thats it.. story was crap

1 time watch type of movie

'Sharaabi' (from Bollywood)

I simply love this old film:19:! Amazing acting by Amitabh Bachchan:14:! This man acts brilliantly when in mood:19:!

Step Up 3 in 3D. Probably the best 3D film i have ever seen as it was a full-length 3D movie involving humans only i.e. Avatar was great, but was fantasy.

It makes a difference seeing dance battles in 3D i.e. really in your face stuff. You feel part of it. Best visuals I have seen in a dance movie by far. I would give it a 8, but I guess I enjoy dance movies! :)

This is how normal movies need to go ... 3D.

hmm think ur a girl...

I saw Peepli [LIVE]. Absolutely outstanding in the first half, really nice and extremely hilarious. Second half is very dull and boring though, when the government etc. get involved.

VERY good acting by the main character (his name is Natha in the movie), and if you want to watch 2 hours (yes it's just 2 hours - quite short) of pure laughter and a bit of the harsh reality, watch this movie. 7.5/10

Doubt it ... just had a quick feel ... nope ... still male. :))

Foozee, I think you need to understand street dance to really appreciate it. It has evolved from the break dance of old and moved to the hip-hop culture of new. Basically there are competitions for it.

I enjoy modern dancing. If you think it is girly good for you. :13:

Eish, I cringe when you mention Sex and the City. Went with my wife to see the first one and was one of the only males there.

You will learn one day about a thing called marriage ... you have to take her out the movies she wants to see as well even if they are crap.

peace...

The Step Up movies are awesome Foozee, don't judge before watching. :moyo

Tery bin laden watched it like a week ago
It was such pathetic movie.

I am looking forward to Grown ups.

Expendables.

Which was AWESOME. Plain old pure action and some really good action in the 2nd half and a lot of lines what will make you laugh. Cheesy and simple storyline though so leave your brains at the door, and it'll be a blast (much better than A-team imo). Just go watch it for the Arnold/Willis/Sly scene because that alone was worth the entire ticket.

no A Team is waay better..

lol, AZ, a bit confused on what you meant by 'lol' for Tekken. Me and my friend were thinking of catching it on Friday.

'Khosla Ka Ghosla'

An average film I would say......

'Bheja Fry'

A good light comedy film.....

The Wildest Dream: Conquest of Everest

Documentary about two climbers who try and retrace the historic climb of George Mallory in 1924, which actually resulted in the death of Mallory and his climbing partner Sandy Irvine. Mallory is famous for his quote when asked why he wanted to climb Everest, "Because it's there."

Film is pretty cool. Has some amazing climbing and terrain footage high up on the mountain.

watched Peepli [live] a few days ago.

TBH i was left a little disappointed after reading some awesome reviews (imdb 9.2 at that point), the movie was good, based on the farce that is Indian media and governance. Hilarious at times and acting was top notch. 3.5/5!

'Naam' (from Bollywood)

A very old film starring Sanjay Dutt and his brother-in-law Kumar Gaurav. Heard a lot about this film and was always willing to watch it. Sanjay Dutt´s acting, particularly the ending, were the things to watch.

'Yuva' (from Bollywood)

A fine film by Mani Ratnam:19:! Probably a film which made Abhishek Bachchan an actor.

Cashback

awesome British movie about Insomnia caused by a broken heart.. highly recommended

8/10 rating

'Pitaah - The Father' (from Bollywood):

Sanjay Dutt once again at his best:14:!!! Was not the first I watched though.

'Shootout at Lokhandwala' (from Bollywood; starring Sanjay Dutt, Arbaaz Khan, Sunil Shetty, Tusshaar Kapoor, Vivek Oberoi and two Bachchans making a special appearance):

Was quite a good film. Vivek Oberoi´s acting as a villain was truly outstanding. The story was somewhat based on the true story of three cops who had formed an 'Anti-Terrorists Squad' (ATS) in Mumbai in the 1990s. I failed to understand the objection made by Sikhs to it as it was totally about something else.
