@RidiculousMan Hey man I dont wanna say I told you so, but I told you soHead should be given a few overs. His style of bowling will suit on this track.
Webster was selected for batting I believe. He did well in BGT (was averaging 50+).
They are not counting South Africa choking abilities . One wickets can bring 3-4 in no time. Australia is still favorites and winning This80:20 to South Africa as per WinViz
No, it wasn't. They needed a batter who can double up as 4th seamer and there was no one better. It was a defensive move tbh.
Just keep the scorecard ticking rn because overcarst conditions can change the behaviour in lords alot. Just get near the target as soon as possible.A competitive match. Hope that SA will pull off the victory.
No, it wasn't. They needed a batter who can double up as 4th seamer and there was no one better.
That is only if you pick a regular 4th seamer , not an alrounder who usually helps share the workload while keeping it tight.A 4th seamer must have some wicket taking ability and punch with the ball.
Don't jinx it man...just cheer for them they may wipe out the old tags nowThis Chase now gone in choking terortity. From now on anytime South Africa can chokes.
They needs 99 runs and Lyon is bowling well.![]()
No Jinx. Lyon is bowling really well now . stage is set for Lyon .Don't jinx it man...just cheer for them they may wipe out the old tags now
Such a huge difference it makes.Markram was the one who won them the U19 World Cup. He isn’t one of those typical choker s
And with my blessingSouth Africa winning would actually shut up a lot of people who felt that SA were chasing money by prioritising SA20 and second string sides to NZ and are only playing 2 match Test series etc.
They're proof that you can still be a champion Test side without playing millions of loss making Tests and by correctly investing in white ball cricket to ensure that they have enough incentives for people to even take up the sport in the first place
some just have 'natural talent'Did Temba Bavuma get a Brazilian butt lift ?
Still got nothing on Azam "Rikishi" KhanDid Temba Bavuma get a Brazilian butt lift ?

He scores when all others fail to score mostly.Markram is one of those batters who doesnt score anything for 10 innings then plays the occasional brilliant knock
Wonder what Qunnie "globe trotter" De Kock is feeling whilst his nation are on the verge of their biggest win in decades he's playing in meaningless T20 games collecting a buck.
Still feel it's a shame that he has decided to retire from this SA team in his prime, he still has so much to offer especially in test cricket
Bavuma was dropped when SA were 76/2.
Turning out to be a costly drop.
seems to be one of those rare saffers who thrives under pressureMarkram is one of those batters who doesnt score anything for 10 innings then plays the occasional brilliant knock
Even his average of 33 would make him one the best batsmen in the lineup not a single player for SA averages over 40QDK first 21 Tests - average 49
Next 33 Tests - average 33
Don't think he is missed in this lineup
It was looking like Jansen had dropped the cup yesterday, but turns out, Smith ended up doing that today.
Now comes Bavuma. @jeeteshssaxena Your reputation is on the line
A lesson for you and @Rana, hitting 5 sixes in t20 leagues doesn’t make you a quality batsman. Now comes Bavuma. @jeeteshssaxena Your reputation is on the line
Yes.
I don't know why Smith was wearing a helmet at first slip. Maybe that played a factor.
I have never seen any slip fielder wearing a helmet before.
Good innings on the flattest of pitches where starc scored 50+A lesson for you and @Rana, hitting 5 sixes in t20 leagues doesn’t make you a quality batsman.
Temba has limited talent but in the last few years he has got the best out of it. Thats what I and some ither poster was trying to tell you when you called Bavuma a walking wicket in test despite amazing returns in the recent past.
Bavuma has kicked the arrogance out of your ‘Head’ and now you are kneeling in front of him.
Now go and watch your Finn Allens and Aither t20 mercenaries hit sixes in Bermuda T20 league, maybe that will give you some much needed validation.
Btw, Rizwan > Carey in tests, and it will continue that way. Chal nikal
Never hyped Shastri, i think you are confusing him with Head ka Papa Sidhu.Good innings on the flattest of pitches where starc scored 50+.
This is more so do with KP's goat analysis rather then bavuma.
Sa got lucky at the toss anw choose to bowl as Aus wanted to do the same thing.
Wtc was toss dependant and SA won it. I dont mind as SA has been so unlucky they deserved something to go their way.
But no credit to bavuma, none, got dropped against smith had the easiest pitch to bat on.
Hes rubbish. Only you can hype 37 and 35 averaging bavuma's and Shastri's
This Test proves Navjot Sidhu is a greater batsman than Travis Head???Never hyped Shastri, i think you are confusing him with Head ka Papa Sidhu.
Even his average of 33 would make him one the best batsmen in the lineup not a single player for SA averages over 40
Head won a world cup for Australia with the weakest aussie team to ever play a final.Never hyped Shastri, i think you are confusing him with Head ka Papa Sidhu.
Why don't they just pick someone who averages like 70-80 from domestics and have him play?He would replace Verreyne who averages 32.
Won't improve this side much, if at all.
