We got draws at Chelsea and Man City two clubs Arsenal still have to visit. Okay we lost at Spurs no matter how it happened and Arsenal too. We still have to go to Man Utd twice in the league cup and FA Cup this weekend. Also, may I add we did Arsenal in the FA Cup as well in at their place in case you have forgotten. You ain't beating City at their place.

I know a couple who have supported them thru thick and thin but I also know some who couldn't name the latest champions league winning 11 yet they talk the most!!
They also have a habit of making everything about them.
I don't mind Liverpool but last few weeks after we beat them they seem to have turned on Arsenal big time. Mocking everything we do.
They calling us cringe etc etc. We may well be but at least we don't rely on a song as though it gives us some superior super natural power which some how forms a special force.

When talking about history No Liverpool fan talks about the fact English clubs were banned from Europe because of their fans in the 80s for 6 Years I think. Everton and Sheffield Wednesday fans had European adventures waiting for them which were ruined.

Actually an excellent point made on the English teams being banned in Europe all because of Liverpool fans, weren't playing the victims there were they.
On top of that at the time English teams were dominating in Europe as well and probably would have won loads more during that era.
Everton, Coventry, Wimbledon would have be to name a few of teams to miss our playing in Europe at the time.

I’m glad we won’t be facing Atletico, who resemble Porto stylistically but are a superior version of them. They’re horrible match up for Arsenal.
According to the bookies, Arsenal are favourites to overcome Bayern and second favourites to win this competition (behind City).
I’m pretty sure we’ll fall short of winning the PL. This is our best chance of winning a trophy this season.

To get through the 3 top sides in Europe and get to final alone, if that happened somehow fair play to team and manager.
Bayern have gone out at 1/4 final stages every season since they last won. Essentially how well Arsenal defend will decide the tie as I think Bayern will leak goals against a top side.

I think if saliba / Gabriel and Rice perform how they have all season then Arsenal have a huge chance as we would have to defend well in both games. Also Arteta has to come up with something tactically good to beat Bayern.
This isn't going to be a case of we will just play like we normally do and see hoe it goes. Late stages of European competitions is where a managers tactical nous is put to test.
I can think we will go through but it won't be easy.

What bookies think is irrelevant, Arsenal were regularly in the top marked sides to win europa and were embarrassed, even at start of season in CL they were 4th favourites.
Reality is Arsenal history in Europe is shambolic to say the least. On top of that we have just scrapped past a decent at best porto team. Arsenal out of the 8 teams in 1/4 finals were ranked 8th on European coefficients that tells you how underwhelming Arsenal have been in Europe.
Are Arsenal on paper better then dortmund, Athletico? Yes, but seasoned european performances counts for a lot in Europe.
Arsenal haven't beaten a single top side in european competition for quite a long time.
This is now where Arsenal need to show that they are a different team.
You will get certain fans getting carried away thinking Arsenal have turned a corner in Europe. That's only the case if we start beating Bayern, Madrid and city etc.
You know also certain losers will start making excuses about the draw, luck etc.. and how getting to to a certain stage of CL is an achievement. No one gives a **** what a team does in Europe unless they win it. That's goes for any big club.

This is the 1st top side we have played in Europe since losing to Chelsea in the Europa league final.
It's a nice conversation to have to say we have been drawn against a big gun.
Whether the club belongs in such company will depend on results. Let's not get carried away thinking this is sons sort of regular occurrence that's been happening.
A lot of fans before the draw were calling on bring on bayern, Real, City, Barca etc..
Reality is based on what? None of these big clubs fear Arsenal, they might respect the club's name. But Arsenal have shown nothing in Europa league or even in Porto game to say that this team is mixing it with elite all the time.
In regards to Bayern yes, they aren't as strong as when they last win it, but still a difficult 2 games.

This Bayern side has been ruined by Tuchel and they are suspect in defence.
I know Arsenal were not great against Porto. But it just goes to show how reliant we are on Saka to delivery in the final third. Yes, Odegaard came through with a great assist in the second leg but I’ve noticed, since last season, Arsenal cannot blow teams away without Saka performing.

Apart from Kim, the rest of Bayern defence is great. De ligt can't stay fit, Eric dier is awful.
Davies is good but has injury issues. There are Areas Arsenal can expose. At same time at other end kane, sane, gnabry can do some damage.
It should be a good thrilling open game to watch.
Just a shame we are away in 2nd leg.

I mentioned a few posts a go he is due a new contract. I mean I am Happy with it as I do believe he has a lot to offer if he can just stay fit for a period of time. Big question about his fitness but i'd take him over Zinchenko any day of the week.

Three Arsenal supporters have been given three-year football banning orders after pleading guilty to tragedy chanting during an FA Cup tie against Liverpool.
The fans were charged with a public order offence after being heard in the match at Emirates Stadium on 7 January.
Arsenal said it has a "zero-tolerance approach" to tragedy chanting.
"We strongly condemn this abhorrent behaviour," the club said in a statement on its website.
"We will always ensure strong action is taken against those found guilty of such behaviour," added Arsenal's statement.
On Wednesday, a Manchester United fan was charged in connection with tragedy chanting towards Liverpool fans at last weekend's FA Cup quarter-final match.
It followed an investigation by Greater Manchester Police (GMP) after a video was shared of a man in the home section of the Old Trafford crowd.
A video of an alleged offence in the Liverpool end is also being investigated.
Greater Manchester Police said the incidents "crossed the line of what is acceptable".
The Football Association has also "strongly" condemned "offensive, abusive and discriminatory chants in football stadiums".
It added: "We are determined to stamp this behaviour out."
