Don't usually follow matches that aren't involving Pakistan, but...

Yea me neither but this is perfect timing. 7 pm.

But also for us in America, most have off Thursday and Friday off from school.

Hopefully, start of a great, great Ashes. The way CA is acting these days, I hope in 4 years time we can see another Ashes in AUS with the game intact to it's core.

Great call by ENG - normally tourists land in AUS and looking at the grass & carry at Gabba, they fell into the trap of bowling first. I am sure this track will get faster on Day 2/3 and It'll take turn on Day 4/5.

Still 1-0 to hosts.

Joe Root avoiding the fatal decision that Nasser Hussain took in Brisbane in 2002 by winning the toss and bowling first.

Ima awake!

Gets guuuuuu!!!

I'm betting big on Cummins to show the wider world his fire(pace) and ice(control). Made him the captain in fantasy team.

Finally here.

Should be a great series until it all falls apart for England. :yk

Yeah, enjoy cricket and -------------------turkey, happy thanksgiving to all.

According to the BBC line up Moeen Ali is down to bat at 6. Excellent move by England if true.

Anything over 400 and England will be in the driving seat.

Come on England :wg

How exciting, love an Ashes series. They have really snuck up on me this year.

Not sure Moeen at 6 makes much sense.

Bairstow at 6 : 45.91
Bairstow at 7 : 42.46

Moeen at 6 : 21.00
Moeen at 7 : 68.54

Until you include the number of games that's meaningless.

Let's see how the BT commentary team stacks up against Sky's.

Bowlers have been right on the money.

Good, 50 points in Fantasy league, within 3 overs (& dropped Cooked at last minute)

Bairstow has been good this summer but Mo has been excellent. Nice to have lefty up there too.

James Vince always looks so classy but never scores. England should stick with him, looks the part.

Good confident batting by the youngsters. Cook was always a candidate to depart early, he has never been good in Ashes expect for that one series in 2010/11.

Gonna miss Nas, Athers and Bumble in the comm box for this series. BT's commentary team is rubbish other than Geoffrey.

Starting to settle down nicely this pair.

I would hate to field on this ground, so many chases for 3 :))

I have it on silent on my phone atm. Who is else on there or are they using Channel 9 commies?

Ponting, Vaughan, Alison Mitchell, Swann, Damien Fleming and Gilly.

Thanks.

I really like Alison Mitchell, she has great knowledge of the game and soothing voice. :)

But I agree nothing on the Sky commie team.

Yep Alison Mitchell is pretty good. One of the better female commentators.

Who is this loser batting one down... where is Root :danish

PSL product Malan bhai made it to English side..

:yahoo:

Looks like these two had a briefing from Azhar Ali before coming out to bat :))

Very good from Australia. If England keep batting at this pace, it only builds up a false sense of security. If they don't start scoring in the second session, Australia will take control. One breakthrough and there's every chance Australia will go bang bang because all four are keeping up the pressure.

I don’t mind this approach on the first morning. It’s a great batting track so it’s vital for England to use it first innings.

Wear down the Aussie bowlers & the runs will flow as the day goes on .

Great start by us although I am slightly worried because it all seems to be going a little bit too well.

Watching a stream from Willow [Channel 9?] and does anyone else think that KP is intentionally being annoying to Mark Taylor? A glimpse into how he became the most hated man in his dressing room.

He's been super annoying from ball one. He's trying too much lol

Beautiful straight bullet from Vince after being shelled, shot of the day.

What on earth happened to KP's accent?

He sounds different.
