After an eventful day where australia were bowled out in their 1st inns for 214, how will the second one pan out. Newzealand start on 7-0

WHat a beauty 1st ball of the day!

Clarke gets a wkt 1st up

NZ: 7-1

that was the first ball, good catch going to his right by Dubya, Redmond the man out

Ryder DROPPED by keeper

Should have been Haydens

Lee's speeds for his first over of the day
ball1 129kph
ball 2 136kph
ball 3 136kph

3rd ball cut for 4
4th edged but haddin palms it away from the waiting hayden who would have gobbled it
5th lbw shout turned down
23-1

"I am New Zealand cricket" showing how it should be done, scoring quickly.

214 is not much of a score if you can hit a few boundaries.

NZ wont get past 120.

And you can quote me on that.

(unless they get over 120, then no need to quote me)

Another close LBW - this time Doctrove says no - just going over

Hobbits avoid the follow on

1/32 going at a good rate this morning

Brett Lee and Brad Haddin continue to be massive concerns for Australia

Why is Tony Greig here? He has a big ICL match in two days
Just saw that drop. Haddin ruined it. It was going straight for Hayden

Have they avoided the follow on, isnt the follow on figure 107.

Clark looking more dangerous than Lee who is not moving the ball and also bowling in 130s....Is it the end of Lee??

In Lee's last over, all balls were faster than 140 kph except the one that got the wkt which was 138kph

Watson is garaming up. He will be on soon
NZ 46-2 - trail by 214-46

Subdued start from ross, its not like him to let deliveries go outside offstump.

Good start from Watson. He has prepared the batsmen well. Ready to strike soon

shot of the day by Taylor to get off the mark, a straight drive, 11 off that shane watson over

Johnson vs Taylor.

Round 1 taylor.. smashes one through point for four.

Wickets, we need wickets. Get Twatson off.

Taylor throws the bat at one outside the off stump, it flies past symonds at gully for 4, 63-2

Watson gets a wicket - Ryder ct behind
NZ 64-3
McCullum starts with a four. But how many can he hit. He will get tired soon

another 4 by mccullum, forced off the back foot through gully , he hasn't come out to defend by the looks of it.

"Hes got a test match average of 31 which belies his talent"

I dont think thats the correct use of belies, been a while since i studied for my SATs.

McCullum goes and NZ are in trouble already.

New zealand making a pigs ear of it here. They should knuckle down and play some sensible cricket.

Aussies trying to tempt Ross to play the cover drive, they know hes the big wicket now.

Planet zelda is now aligned so time is now right to bring Lee and spinner.

MJ continues to leak runs, NZ going about this the right way - if they try and stay in all day they won't survive. Better to score and try and knock the runs off. They really miss Oram though.

They'll probably be dismissed sometime after tea for 250-280-odd.

Symonds strikes, No!!! he didn't. Umpire thinks it was the pad and looks right

Great delivery by Symmo, clips the back foot pad. Close appeal, but good decision from Koertzen. Missed the bat by millimetres.

Regardless, I don't reckon that Flynn will last much longer. He looks all over the place at the crease.

26 overs bowled in the morning session. After all the talk we are still behind the over rate and funny that the attack looks a bit samey without a spinner.

Haddin needs to go. Ponting...well

No cricket show today :( I saw O'Donnell on TV 3-4 overs before lunch probably talking about it but my speaker volume is off
