Australia v Pakistan | 1st ODI | Brisbane | Jan 13, 2017 | Australia Innings

I am reminded of a World Cup match in South Africa when England were playing Australia. I think the poms had reduced the Aussies to 6 or 7 down. Andrew Bichel came in at 8 and scored 70 odd giving Australia a decent total to win against England.
Moral of the story is that you can't switch off the intensity vs Australia

exatly

just one good hr and he became best skiper

he is a pathetic skipper, and you wil see it the moment aussies will attack.

But I thought the Aussies were attacking that's why they are 5 down

I think Amir has an ankle injury, he pointed it out to azhar after first ball and bowling much slower

Off topic, but how the hell did India lose 4-1 to THAT Australian team in 2016?! Saw the difference in line-ups from 2016 and 2017, and the 2016 team is as pants as an international team line-up can get.

How much is a safe total for Pak on this pitch? Below 250?

Aus obv played a second strong of sorts but the top order was first choice.

india made enough runs against hastings, lyon and boland etc.

but australia were well equipped for the batting shootout and played the big boys

and the pitches were such that it was the batting which would decide

Easy win for Pakistan.

Chris Lynn is mediocre. Australia playing their B team batting wise. No Finch khawaja. No match for class of imad and amir

If Pakistan's don't get Big Show soon the this match will result in another moral victory for them.

Yes. Also a few more points:

India has been a poor ODI side (compared to its usual self) for 2 years now. We have choked a LOT of games post WC 2015.

Indian team should have easily won 2 games against that Aussie side in Aus. We won 1 game and lost 1 game from an unlosable position.

Then dropping of Ash for the MCG track (and subsequently the entire series) to strengthen the batting was stupid. Gurukeerat Singh was floating and spinning the ball quite a lot in MCG. We got Aussies under the pump in MCG but we didn't have the bowlers to pick wickets and Aus scored the last 100 runs and got the win.

Add to that our slow batting at crucial junctures in other games which cost us a win.

Scorecard was 1-4 against that Aus team is a horrible result.

SA won 5-0 against such an Aus team.

OK, I spent the last 90 minutes watching the Nintendo Switch conference which turned out to be a huge waste of time. What have I missed?

Wow Pakistan really playing well here.

Didn't know there was a match going on.

Just got here due to a mention.

well if Asad ran faster that could have been a catch. He was really slow.

sloppy fielding but not surprised. It's a big ground and we are not used to it.

Athaiees Awar kay Ikhtamam per Astralia:

Aik So Chawalees per Panch Auot !!

For next match replace nawaz the all rounder with malik and wahab the destroyer with junaid, and play hafeez at six, and that will be the best possible combo from the given squad.

Is this pitch hard to bat or Pak bowling got wickets on a patta?

I have never seen Aus 78/5 in recent times.

Same old story! Grab them by the neck early on and then lose your grip! And they dominate!!
