It’s funny seeing Farhan being hyped now when I remember fans were so against him years back when he was in the team. Again with Huraira I don’t know how good he is, but we’ve seen how youngsters have come and gone into this team in recent years and they had much more hype than this guy.

The guys in the current team were also domestic performers, who fans were screaming to bring in to the team at some point. It’s just the same thing again and again. At some point we have to look on trying to maximise the talent we have than just endlessly circling through players.

Let him be man. The whole cricketing fraternity knows Athar is emotionally patriotic towards Bangladesh Cricket. They love him for it.

Fast bowling track with bumrah on rest, we might win couple of sessions and if everything falls in place you never know..

we may improve on below scorecard if everything falls according to the plan i.e Pitch/Bowling/Batting/Fielding, Everything needs to be 100 if we are to beat India

Comparing Shan to Babar is like comparing a rickshaw to a Benz. Check their overall records. In fact, it doesn’t need checking.

Last two years is Babar’s worst patch and apparently, the best patch of Masood’s career and they are comparable which sums up everything.

Players have to be selected based on present forms. No one has the right to perpetual selection without performances. If a player has had decent chances, is not performing and the team is on a losing streak, he makes way for the next player on the bench, pipeline while he goes back to the basics, domestic cricket, irons out his problems, weaknesses and comes back after performing

We need to understand how new talent should be supported by both management and senior players in the team to help them perform well in international cricket. Only Babar and Shaheen can be considered senior players who have achieved significant success internationally, but they are now struggling with both politics and performance.
Babar himself was cared well and supported by misbah, and sarfraz and he excelled as he is a talent and most importantly came through proper channel. He played lots of ODIs before playing test match

Don't think there will be fast bowling tracks at Chennai & Kanpur as both are traditionally turning pitches. Also India would want to win all 5 test matches at home (2 vs Bangladesh & 3 vs New Zealand) to get to the WTC final as a tough tour of Australia beckons.

I saw something on online not sure how true it is but it was a conversation between Athar and Sikander talking about a Bangladeshi bowler.

Mehidy Hasan Miraz removes Pakistani batsmen.

Sikander Bakht: Hard to say him a part-time bowler. He's a regular wicket-taking option now.

Athar Ali Khan: Who told you he's a part-timer? He's a proper off-spin bowler. One of the best of all time Bangladesh has ever produced. Who told you he's a part-timer?

Sikander Bakht: Well, you mentioned it during the 1st test.

They are still better than hit or miss Saim, useless Shan, Shafiq. Please check Saim and Shafiq's domestic record in FC.

Bangladesh would be in dilemma weather they go with 3 pacers and 2 spinners or with Taijul they will go with 2 pacers.
 
Pakistan are missing a trick by not playing Fakhar as an opener in test matches. The top 3 test teams have aggressive openers who set the tone for the middle order.

Nah losing at home to a strong team is tough. To a weaker team embarassing. Getting swept at home even by a strong team is humiliating. By a Bangladesh level team is given up the sport level.
 
Pakistan have lost many matches from this position.. Bangladesh also lost some matches from good position..let BD not do a Pak..
 
Sorry to say high profiles foreign coaches will not work for us. Look at Hature!!! He has eye for talent and stubborn not soft-hearted like Gillepsie, Kristen. They are only good for high profile players like India/Australa/England/NZ. We need low profile foreign coaches who work with more dedication. A high profile teacher is not good for dull students because its too much for their brain. You need average teacher who can do the job to get the pass mark.

Misbah + Ramiz + Naqvi have done irreparable damage.

Theirs a difference between 2017 and now.

2016 Pakistan had a broken keyboard on your PC, all sarfi had to do was buy am extension keyboard and upgrade it.

Currently Pakistan is a computer that has been shattered into pieces beyond repair with a broken monitor, chip, everything in between.

And unfortunately for them thanks to ramiz raja, The company that sold these computers have gone bankrupt.
 
Pakistani bowlers are bowling in good line n length. It would get tricky if BD try to chase it down quickly now. But I don't believe Pakistan could take more than 4/5 wickets.
 
This is where shanto and Mominul will get exposed.

Both these 2 are not inform and not skilled enough, their playing it safe and might cost Bamgaldesh a win

Actually the problem is bigger than that. Senior players like Babar, Rizwan, Shaheen, Nasim, Rauf are not happy with PCB for not giving them NOC for Canadian premiere league where they lost millions of dollars. These mafia players are not really interested to commit 5 hard working days for test just like WI and Zimbabwe players. They blackmailed to Zaka so as threatened Misbah to keep their favorable players.
If Naqvi can get rid of these mafia players we might do better in test.
 
Salman Agha is a good utility cricketer. Don't understand why he gets so much of criticism.

As if Naqvi is gonna get rid of the nexus? He's the one who expanded it into a business operation and a band club?

Misbah only promoted rizwam, Babar and chacha, Since then it's expanded into Shan, Shadab, Abdullah shafiq, Shaheen and much much more

The demise of Pakistan Test cricket started under Sarfraz. He lost 2 out of 3 home series in UAE in 2017-2018. In addition, Pakistan’s ODI form was disastrous post 2017 as well.

Things are hitting a new low these days for sure though, losing to Bangladesh at home was unthinkable few years ago.

Test cricket was weak under sarfi but it could have been fixed by removing him as red ball captain. Misbah did it by removing him and winning under azhar Ali at the time.

2019 team beat atg England in their home den, beat sa on English soil, maintained their streak againat Afghanistan etc etc. 2018 team was beating strong teams including full strength Australia in a tri series.

In 2023-2024 their crap in all formats. The team is done and dusted and the issue goes way way beyond Shan, Babar, Sarfi.

The newer players aren't performing, The experienced players are playing like crap, the pitches aren't good enough to host international tournaments. Psl is a pathetic league, the new coaches like Gillespie are here for a paycheck etc etc.

The issues go all the way to grassroot level now. It's beyond fixing.

I believe that didn't carry n go into the hands even if there was any slip fielder but still should be another one in the sleep region.
 
Abrar turned out to be most useless/over-hyped spinner. Even Salman got 3 wickets.
 
Pakistan deliberately took this review at the last second for rain. Loser attitude ong

Average is not everything. Shan is positive man and batsman who play for team not for personal milestone, while babar radiates negative energy, backstabber and currently on the level of pat cummins the test batsman.

Pakistan was working just fine from 2017-2019. It only needed an overhaul in the test circuit but even then the test circuit wasn't minnow level bad.
 
They need to sent in Liton Das next to take Pakistan out of misery

Pakistan test cricket is finished when misbah is gone in 2017. He absolutely demolished teams in UAE plus decent away record also plus main thing there were no dummy kings to sabotage the team.
