What's new

Bangladesh beat England by 34 runs in 2nd ODI

239 is a very good score!!! And people complaining its a 300 runs pitch.

Looooooooooool pathetic shot by Stokes. Butler and Moen are the key wickets here

Mortaza strikes again.

Full and straight, Stokes castled for a duck.

Giving wickets to Mushrafee who is probably the most useless cricketer in the world.

Damn England have Woakes at 8. The game is still 50/50 I feel. Buttler is the key. BD missing Fizz badly.

So many cutters and slower ones being bowled by both sides. Can you imagine the greatest exponent of the cutter ever, the cutter master on this pitch? He just had to be injured for this series.

Why the hell are they persisting with Shakib? Save him for later. Bring in either Shafiul or Nasir.

Crucial for Bangladesh how Shafiul and Taskin bowl. If they bowl garbage like they have then Bangladesh have no chance.

Excellent stop from Tamim followed by a stunning shot from Buttler. Taking the match away from Bangladesh.

That backlift from Bairstow is ridiculous.

It's very modern. A high baseball style backlift is more efficient. It's easier to react to the pace, even defensively, but when you are attacking as you have to in limited overs, it's way superior.

Shafiul Islam is the weak link.

I think he will release the pressure

Interestingly his sudden rise in international cricket has come alongside the slight adjustments in his technique including the backlift so it's doing something for him.

A quick yorker could do the trick, not many have tried this. Will be interesting to see how he does in India and Australia.

Bangladesh have found another terrific fielder in Mosaddek Hossain after Nasir, Shabbir and Soumya.

Taskin needs to improve his bowling IQ. Always looking to chase pace. This is not the pitch for that. Even English pacers realised it quickly. Need to try some cutters and slower ones on this pitch.

Shafiul looks to have adjusted now and is bowling better.

This is why the 10 batsman concept England use is so powerful.

They were an utter shambles to begin, but still in it thanks to just how deep they play and how much freedom that gives those at the top.

They managed to wait out Shakib and Mashrafe and now cashing in.

Taskin finding his rhythm. Need to get Buttler here. Another tight finish?

England are the best ODI side in the world right now.

and the reason is that if BD beats UK, then BD would claim being the best side..

There are Four (4) higher ranking/rating teams in world now.

Aus:120
SA: 114
NZL:113
Ind:110

Eng:108

B'desh shouldn't relax. Need these 2 and Woakes to feel secure. 124 to win in 24 overs, RR wouldn't be an issue.

that was an amazing catch, Bangladesh should win this now

look at the way bangladeshi team is celebrating..... please grow up !!!!!

Buttler out! Taskin gets him. What a bowler.

Buttler and Mahmudullah almost about to hit each other. Not good to see.

Match getting very close!!

Some verbal between Butler and some Bangladeshi player, not good to see..

Required rate is just over 5 here. Poms need to play risk free cricket for next 10 overs

That's the first time I've seen Buttler so angry.

Some of the Bangla players are very immature - why the neeed for it when you you got him out ??

Someone def said something to him.

Taskin on fire. What a comeback from his after conceding 15 in an over.

Bangladesh v England | 2nd ODI | Dhaka | Oct 9, 2016 | Match Thread

Bangladesh have to be by far the most poor-spirited team, how in the world do you get Jos Buttler angry?

They will pay for that in the next game.

They are little kids very immature they are and specially their captain. They seriously need to grow up. But, this is expected from a minnow country few wins get to their heads very easily.

Minnows remain Minnows.

You have proven yourself as a Bangladesh hater.Sorry to say that your childish comment isn't suited to this very good cricket forum named Pakpassion. Please post your comment with sense, logic and good heart not with full of aag of jealousy :AAG.We are winning, so let's celebrate guys....:hamster:

A bit off topic but Taskin's bowling action still looks slightly kinky. Guess he might be called upon again soon post this series.

Just saw a slow motion review and he is pelting.

Originally I wanted Bangladesh to win, but having watched the game today the attitude of both the crowd and players is pathetic.

Every time a boundary is hit the crowd is completely silent, you wouldn't even know a boundary has been hit. It's weird watching on TV, you'd think a fielder is getting around to collect the ball, until the commentators state otherwise. You do get some degree of silence from Indian and Pakistani crowds, but nothing like this.

Also the players appeal and celebrate each wicket like it's a World Cup final. Like watching a bunch of over-excited school kids.

Really hope England win the last ODI.

Taskin getting too excited. Finish strong here son. Get yourself a 5fer.

I think, still we'll need 275+ as there is no back-up spinner. This is a bit drier wicket, which should grip more than last wicket, but unless the asking is 6+, there is hardly any chance of putting pressure on English batting, which is listing Adil at 11.
Kya? :bm. I was right, isn't it? Bangladesh was mentally strong today to fight hard and defend an average total.

I think you are happy to be proven wrong MMMS vai.:farhat

Been a great series so far.

Well done Bangladesh for showing resilience after heartbreak of 1st ODI.
