The Dolphins will take on the Lions in the 10th match of the Champions One-Day Cup 2024 scheduled for today, September 22nd, 2024, at 3:00 P.M. local time, at Faisalabad's Iqbal Stadium.

Challenged by a tough start, having lost all three of their previous matches, the Dolphins, captained by Saud Shakeel, are eager to conclude their tournament on a positive note.

Meanwhile, the Lions, led by captain Shaheen Shah Afridi, aim to boost their position in the points standings as they prepare for this crucial encounter.

No they need to win toss and bat first to win the match
 
Watch out for Riazullah , has got all the shots in the book and can really dominate spin bowling and is a confident and dominant player just like Saim, but needs to improve his game against pace.
 
Shakeel is so insipid someone should tell him to drop himself. They need a captain with some energy
 
After their first game, Panthers have been really impressive

You are underestimating the role of leadership in this sport.
Look what Babar did to an almost same team. We were ranked 1 in T20 and played decently in ODI under Sarfraz

Zimbabar is pathetic captain and pathetic T20 batsman but even his team was able to reach finals once and other time they made to the semi final as well.

He was lucky with that team when they won many t20is but rankings don't matter in t20is. He was not a good odi captain.

He is a pathetic player with pathetic record.
 
So when batting first everyone scores centuries in this tournament except rizwan who's still ceiling his peak at 51?
 
Akhlaq should be mentor of this team not that blob. Blob should learn from him how to play modern day cricket.

Jee jee, sarfraz must have also given fakhar bad advice for CT, the lad just used his brain, meanwhile fakhar is flourishing under misbah and rizwan's mentorship.

Sarfraz also gave horrible advice to amir telling him to bowl full tosses but amir used his brain instead.

Sarfraz also gave horrible advice to his under 19 team in 2007 and they all used their own brain.

Sarfraz also gave himself bad advice for saving NZ test game, He told his brain to get out but his brain would not listen and scored a match saving 100 instead.

Lol so fakhar only performs when this guy gives him advice.

This mentor guy is bad influence on others. He never does well with bat or with the gloves. Others follow this loser in that aspect.

As far as misbah is concerned he is the destroyer of Pakistan cricket and this mentor guy is following him in that regards as well.

None of this will ever change the fact that he's the most succeaful pakistani wicket keeper in history.

You're comparing him to his prime end when he's 37.

All his test centuries + his world cup exploits in 2015, followed by match saving games in 2016 (96 against sri lanka in test) + 2017 ct + no 1 2018 t20 rank + beating England in home den 2x in cups is superior to anything that rizwan or any wicket keeper batter has ever achieved in pakistan.

That's the issue with this misbah + Rizzu lot, team bhar mei jai as long as these 2 score lol. Their were so many people claiming rizwan > Alex Carrey yet Carrey last night pulled off a match winning effort.

Australia understands that cricket is a team game and individual milestones don't matter. Even Sachin at the end of his career was selfish for playing an extra year and losing India the asia cup.

Rizwan, Misbah and this joke lot don't understand this and hence use common arguments such as "Well bro, rizzu performs, team is letting him down etc"
 
Why cant we play a young player instead of this useless umar amin. He should be a coach not a player. He made his debut with azhar ali. He is a most horrible left hander i have seen who played international cricket
 
Dolphins have slowed down after the first 10 overs and have also lost 2 more wickets since then, with Saud Shakeel and Umar Amin on the crease now.

Asif is still superior to chacha in terms of match winning potential, he has 2 wc wins for pakistan from the jaws of defeat as Pakistan wouldn't have chased 24 of 12 against afghanistan nor finished the NZ game either.

Chacha is overall a better batter but he's mentally shot and totally useless, can't win a game for the life of him and can't play any other way before taking over 25 deliveires to settle and then playing a stupid shot and getting out

No, What did more harm them good for pakistan was creating the rizwan + babar opening combo followed by chacha in the lower order that misbah felt the need to Shove his bhoota into.

The day pakistan became no 1 ranked in t20 was when we beat Australia in the tri series final and we beat them 2x, This aussie side were playing full strength with Travis head, Glenn Maxwell, Aaron finch etc. We beat them 2x in a humailting fashion.

Their was nothing wrong with the squad

This squad beat full strength Australia because the openers are aggressive, the middle order reliable and no 6,7 and no 8 is understandably pinch hitters .

Now here's your pathetic squad that got booted out by USA.

He's done nothing wrong in test so far. Drop him in odi as he deserves a boot.

Unlike you lot who obsesses over your favourites I don't obsess over anyone.

The only player who's undroppable is Fakhar Zaman because he's an X factor and deapite being inconsistent, you need him as a trump card incase NZ hits a 400 again.

However the fact that Rizwan will be made captain of odi and t20 despite having scores of 47, 33, 51, and 20 in a tournament where saim ayub is scoring a 150 and half the bowlers are trundles and you lot especially @gazza619 are supporting such filth is a telltale sign of the limited understanding of Pakistan cricket fans
 
Their is nothing wrong with how dolphins are playing atm. Their batting at a RR > 6 throughout the whole game so far. Their focused on getting a top score of > 300+. Not looking for individual milestones
 
Lol saud shakeel the captain. I don't understand what PCB and fans see in this terrible player. He has zero talent.

I feel so sad for Tayyab. Ever since he was snubbed on the side (after being the highest run getter in last list a season) for Saud. Just because of his Test format performances.

Not saying that with Tayyab Pakistan would've done much better in WC23. But there was clearly a need for a more dominant middle order player and Tayyab deserved a spot ahead of others because he actually performed on merit in domestic. Dude still averages like 40+.

Sending Asif Ali before Qasim Akram is a serious concern from Dolphins management. Seems Sarfaraz and coach failed to select good team combination, few potential superstar but majority those career almost near to end.
 
There's an issue with the landing area that's causing ankle injuries to bowlers.

Yeah found it quite shocking myself. Spinners were on at the time too. Qasim does well with spinners and Asif only hope is going after pacers.

It's clear Pakistan from top down simply lack the ability to properly evaluate talent and they don't get utilized in a proper position either to be successful.

Dolphins have played beautifully today, this is how modern cricket is played. Wickets fall but milestones don't matter. Everyone has batted at > RR 6, which is why the scorecard reads 310 in 45.

Dolphins should try to finish strong now, All on Faheem

I've been impressed with Sufiyan Muqeem's progress over the last year or so. He's developed decent control, and with more First-Class matches under his belt, I expect further improvement. To take his game to the next level, he should focus on

Usman qadir
Mehran Mumtaz
Faisal Akram
