Not surely. They may be better batsman for sure but they wouldn't have taken England bowlers apart on this green track.

The criticism was that England bowlers didn't make India play well. Its NOT that they bowled everything short and wide and made the scoring easy. We still were 145-7 and if not for Rahane, Bhuvi would have been bowled out for 160. England has made lots of mistake, is in disarray, etc. Doesn't mean India doesn't deserve to win.

Its like saying England didn't deserve to win in India in 2012.

SIF my point was that neither team played particularly good cricket. So it doesn't really matter who wins this match. Although the loss would be harder for England to take.

Yup. Fab 4 would have destroyed this English lineup on a green track.

What happened on NZ tour of 2002 when we were rolled out green tracks?

:)))

Perspective.

Many Indian players played GREAT cricket. That's my point. Its not their fault Dhoni stacked the team with idiots.

If majority of the team had not played good cricket barring 1-2, I can understand.

The whole wicket could be green, but if you don't pitch the ball up or continuously offer up easy leaves, it's pointless.

Its funny how when India plays a team, and they do well, its the other team who plays badly and no credits are given to India.

Its a shame, supposedly Indian Fans, have no faith in the team, or back the team.

Yes England are not in the best of their forms, but credit were its due, India have played better than what everyone expected to. They fought it out in all the innings.

In 2011 both Aus and Eng Series, the way india folded and hardly put a fight, this is much better, you can see even when they were down in a couple of innings they came back well.

If we had Fab 4, we would have owned them dude.

This bunch is useless.

Perfect logic.

I remember in the late 90's.

Indian ODI lineup will be called the best lineup and we would flop always.

Aussies would be called good and they would perform always.

Tuffey and Oram did more damage in that first test.

Fab 4 aren't Gods.

I know SIF. But even on a green wicket , you have to bowl in the right areas. England didn't and wasted the chance to roll us out under a hundred. Oh and I never claimed that the fan 4 were gods or whatever. All I'm saying is england have bowled poorly for the most part and hence, our performances have to be seen in perspective.

That team has Shane bond moving the ball at 150+ on a fast bowler's paradise. He was impossible to play on that form.

Yaar see the score cards I posted.

Tuffey and Oram did equal damage if not more.

Oram was unplayable from what I rememeber.

How can you be sure? Sensible-indian-fan, We no longer have the Fab-4, the Fab-4 got destroyed in 2011 as much as i think they were all great, they wouldn't do anything this series. These guys are inexperienced. They are doing well, in a few years time, they will do better. The Fab-4 wasn't all that fab when they started playing. It took time.

I just tuned in to the match. Feel horrible for VJ. Deserved a century.

England did but didn't do enough.

Big difference.

Rahane's ton here is something that would easily be up there with any SRT's ton. Barring a very few.

My comment was sarcastic dude.

Of course bud. You didn't.

Just saying there is no guarantee they would have done it well.

No need to thank me :)

If India do not get a lead of 330, most probably they lose.

England young batsmen have no experience of chasing 300+ on day 4/5 of a Test, plus there is some uneven bounce along with all the confidence issues and players out of form.

If England chase 330 then I'm Pope John Paul II.

Robert, series losses to SL and India enough to bring back KP?

J anderson is gonna be destoried midway thru the series. Hes bowled over 110 overs in 2 tests.

Great counter attack by Jadeja knows he doesnt have a defensive technique in these conditions just went into ODI mode. Dhoni should have done this.

Credits to B K too, he has hung in there and he has been the Key this series, built partnerships and preventing the tail from being exposed throughout the series. We could have been bowled out for lead of under 220.

England are in serious trouble now, they won't be chasing this. Team too demoralised and they haven't successfully chased 250+ for years in a Test.

You're probably right but 300+ is mountain mentally

I'm really impressed with India's fightback.. I remember all those away tests where we fall without giving a fight. This team has got character, it does :)

And here comes Andrew Strauss to add some excitement in the commentary box....

Twice in the game, 2 Same shots, Twice the same fielder misses the ball, and they run 4 runs.
