What's new

England v India | 4th ODI | Old Trafford | [30/8/07]

The variations Powar puts on his deliveries is quite remarkable. And trust me, it pains me to say that, because I hate that idiot.

And it's out. Colingwood. Oh my my my. England's running had been brilliant during this series. It might well have cost them this match though.

Well this has been quite the collapse.... erm....erm.... you can do it Ravi :)

118/7

87 needed from 135 balls. 3 wicket remain.

Powar continues to toy with Bopara.

We are just chipping away here. These two doing the right thing.

Still though, a wicket can fall at any time.

The appraoch from these two has been exactly what's needed. Broard realizing that he can't score too much so he's preserving his wicket and not playing shots at all. While Bopara does his part to slowly chip away at the target without taking risks.

Zaheer Khan comes into the attack now. Takes over for Chawla. Dravid trying to make sure these two don't get settled.

well these two have been batting for more than 10 overs so they should be pretty settled.

Just don't have wickets to play with so can't take any risks at this stage. Need to keep doing what we are doing now and if we can get the target down to 40 or so with these two still together, India will start to panic and we will get more opportunities to get some runs.

I gotta give it to Bopara. Powar had him on an absolute string. 8 Ramesh Powar overs later Bopara is still there.

And now England RUN 4.

Broad plays another spanking backfoot drive for 4 through cover. 50 off 80 needed

This is now the last partnership of the England innings....and Broad has scored just as much as Bopara during it. 50 partnership.

We need less than 50 now.

Things are starting to get just a little bit tight.

An absolute ripper from Yuvraj 2nd ball. Bopara lucky to get away. Broad was lucky the ball before that.

Wow, this game got closer then I thought. After Collingwood got out I thought it was over but these two are batting very handsomely! Luvin it!

Dravid's going to need to do something here. This match is starting to slip away from him.

And now 4 wides down the left side. Dhoni should have had that.

I really should sleep.

I have to be up at 7.30 and its 1.48 already.

Only 31 from 49. India need to grab a wicket if they want to win.

Terrific stuff from Bop and Broad.

Well I said Dravid needed to do something. And he's done it. He brings on TENDULKAR!!!

30-odd runs needed, next two batsmen have highest scores of 15 (Anderson) and 13 (Panesar).

England cant really afford to lose a wicket here.

how is the internet in pakistan?

It's absolutely fine.

I'm on PTCL. Was REALLY slow for the first 2 or 3 days I got it but since then its been great. YouTube videos do take a little too long to load for my liking though.

Short and cracked through cover for 4 by Broad. Lovely batting beta.

Ah-ha Rob becoming desi! :P Or is he Chris Broad in disguise? :13:

Top stuff from Broad. Had to play that whole Tendulkar over and he handled it very well.

Powar comes back now. Last over for him.

Panesar looking VERY nervous in the dressing room. Chawla into his last over now.
