I think we should bat as safely as possible until lunch and then play attackingly and try to put a lot more runs quickly onto our lead.

Did any one hit a double ton from Pakistan in England?
The now-dead grass will hold it together.
I don't expect much spin at all, or at least not before Day 5.
We're less than halfway through the match. It's quite similar to Pakistan's drawn 708 Test in 1987.

I have a ton of respect for Sky's cricket broadcasting, they've been very innovative and the quality of coverage is second to none. But the problem is Murdoch believes in a high price-low subscriber model. Sky subscription is fairly pricey for the average man.And heard that Sky charge just too much extra money if you want to open the sports channels just for 1 month to watch a series. Even in India cricket isn't on FTA anymore but still Star charge very less so that general public can access it. Thanks GOD in Pakistan it's still FTA for all home/away series of Pak and even for Ashes and all other major series/tournaments otherwise cricket will die just like hockey/squash here because we didn't promoted them.
Very true, but that's a different story.
In England, cricket is no longer shown on Free-To-Air TV, so most kids never watch it. Ever. It's a mystery to them like Polo or Tennis or Golf.
In Australia all home international cricket is on Free-To-Air TV and so is the Big Bash. Cricket Australia get much less money for the TV rights, but know that EVERY male and almost every female watches it.
I got an SMS from a middle-aged female nurse who is a friend of mine an hour ago about an absurd catch that Shaun Marsh tried to claim in the Colombo Test.
But because the TV coverage in England is hidden away, there is no such interest there. Over 90% of males aged 15-30 apparently watch neither Test, ODI or even T20 cricket in England now.
Yousuf in 2006 plus I think Zaheer Abbas as well ??? Can someone confirm this ??
Zaheer Abbas scored 274 in 1971.
I think we are asking much from YK ... it is well enough he gave us a century despite his horrible form during this tour. Besides Sarfaraz do own us 70+ good score and a century from him will be a blessing and big booster for his own good.
Moyo did during the 2006 tour
When?

I grew up watching cricket on BBC and then Channel 4 - FTA channels. During 2005 Ashes, C4 got over 8m watching the Trent Bridge Test. A new generation of cricket fans were born during that series and large part due to FTA viewing.
Yes Sky money has done a huge amount of good for English cricket, including money that's gone to grassroots and women's cricket. But you can't promote cricket from behind a paywall. Adult participation numbers are down and some club teams in England can barely cobble together an XI. The interest is just not the same anymore, especially among younger generation.
T20 Blast should at least be on FTA.

Yes, at lords in 1982.
Think javed only has 1.
Zaheer, Mohsin, Aamer Sohail, Miandad and MoYo all got doubles in Eng. MoYo and Mohsin did it at lords and have their name mentioned there while Zaheer did it twice in his career. Zaheer was just too good for english conditions and this is the reason he was legend in county cricket. Out of his 108 FC centuries most came in county cricket.
