"Any news on Kevin going to hospital to have that hole in his hands checked out?" asks John, cheekily.
:D

Can England get Dravid out ?????

On a pitch like this Dravid hasn't looked in any trouble apart from the odd ball spitting up from back of a length. He is in superb form backed up by text book technique. England needs to go to plan B and do something out of the ordinary. They could around the wicket and pepper him with short balls or try some part timer like KP. The problem is when length balls still jag away it's difficult to move to plan which you would usually use on a flat deck. Just over 10 overs till the new ball with India only 26 runs behind England are on the defensive, India should try to work it around the park as Dravid is doing.

Damn its going to be real bad after these 3 retire, even if the young guys score they can never match such shots.

Do u think England will bat well in second inning if the bowl is swinging? cloudy?

I am back and only two wickets have fallen

England waiting for the new ball it seems.

In my view all these batsman have 4 years in them.... after them will the problem arrive ofcouse its a process hard to avoid..:kami

Indian are very very clever.. knows getting as much as runs possible before the new bowl..

another 4 years is bit too much dude..

Laxim and Dravid another 1 year
Sachin another 1 or 2 years

How can people thing Dravid is boring? Amazing player and a joy to watch.

India cant lose this match can they? They will easly get 100 runs lead now all thanks to KP. lol

Swann has been bowling poor.. should have focus on keeping the run rate down..

The weather looks good and day 3 it's probably the best day to bat on this pitch before the uneven bounce kicks on day 4. The amount of runs they trail by will have an affect on their mindset, if India get a big lead of 100-150 then England will be under serious pressure which could make them play poorly. On the other hand any lead of less than a 100 and England will feel they only need to score 350 to lead around 250 and bowl India out in the 4th innings. The ball will continue to swing and jag around a little but most of the grass has now gone after taking in the sun so it won't be as difficult out there. Because India have to bat last and the new ball not far away England aren't that behind in the game, they need a good final session to get back right in it. England will play a lot better in the second innings both with bat and ball imo.

PPers - where is the teamwork to defeat India ?

Inshallah we will be witnessing an Indian batting collapse soon . Pray .

Dravid - 51% of career runs from boundaries
Teenda - 54%

Dhoni and VVS also in low 50's so Dravids not that defensive as people think.

Great to see Tendulkar failed Alhamdulillah. May 5 more failures come his way this series!

(Indians don't hate the Tendulkar-hater :p)

If India get a 100 run lead then they will be in a strong and commanding position in this match.
Englands only hope now is the new ball.

sometime back :nassar pointed out the Dravid faced more balls than anyone else in test history

wat a player

I can only imagine what effect player like Dravid can have on his batting partners. If you have a player on the other side who is getting troubled, not middling the bat and getting beaten every now and then, bowlers feel confident and you also feel bit uneasy about the situation. But if you have Dravid who is like middling almost everything and hardly getting troubled then it should certainly be different feeling.

No need to bowl at Dravid's legs, he will score all day long.

looking at dravid with cap...did anybody ever see tendu play with a cap? just curios...dont remember seeing him at all

if anything else cricinfo is dissing england in a funny manner :yk....but enjoyable though for a neutral fan ...here's some of it :-

70.1
Swann to Dravid, 1 run, 92.3 kph, some rare spin from Swann has England "oooh"ing but the inside edge runs away into space

"Nobody drops 'em deliberately, but KP might have put down this game and the #1 ranking for England," writes John Muir.

there would be more, i just saw the last bit before tea

I see we've bottled it up. Poor bowling by Swann especially, oh well. Bad stuff

The sun's out and the Vampires are in trouble :akhtar

I thought there were no more subs allowed? What was Anderson upto? I seriously hope it wasn't the traditional ice bath and massage fast bowlers get.

What a player Dravid is. He should be up there with Tendulkar if not ahead. I have always rated him ahead of tendulkar in test matches. What a player!

Great Player dravid :14:

2 matches 2 hundreds while England, their fans, India and their fans focus on Tendulkar.

Lead is alrady 37 runs. England in trouble. Swann is suffering here.

12 overs 76 Swann...

Kicking the stumps with anger...

I wonder why the reaction is not as extreme it was with bhajji!!!
