Why do England playing Swann.. wasting a spot.. Swann hasnt done anything since taking Ghambhir wicket in the first test.... Should be replaced in the next test match..
 
Looking forward to Kumar's big swing at 120 km/h.

sigh... if you only you had proper comprehending skills.

That meant Dhoni nicked it but it went straight to the only slip placed. There was no other slip present. And it wasn't a nick, he hit it hard.
 
Lets see what Praveen can do with the new ball...I missed the first hour of play but when I started watching the ball was pretty much holding its line despite a green turf in place and heavily overcast weather before lunch. Was a surprise given how English were moving around the new ball in Lord's and Trent Bridge...
 
With Trott Missing (Englands Glue) - india have a chance maybe to make some inroads into englands batting early!

It's funny, historically England's been the place where subcontinent teams outside the subcontinent have done pretty well and come away with series wins. Not anymore it seems, India especially found even South Africa an easier place to play than facing the English in English conditions.

Hope Morgan gets some runs here, I desperately want him to do well and lock down a test spot, his batting is just so eye catching and entertaining. Contrary to what people think, I do think he has it in him to do well in tests, he handles pressure well and no obvious weaknesses in his technique (I don't think anyway). That hundred against Pakistan was a marvellous innings. Just needs to settle down, maybe cut down a few of his shots and be a bit more selective in the balls he goes for.

It's only been Pakistan who've done well consistently in England. India have historically really struggled here (Lost 25 games and only won 5 - and I think their last series win was their first).
 
England too defensive here. Some contolled aggression is needed here!

The Oval wicket offers turn and bounce for spinners, Swann got 6 for here last time in the second innings. Not realistic to play 4 fast bowlers.
 
Already proven that the old ball is easy to hit away.


Think they are just waiting to play this new ball out.
 
Still no runs but only Kumar is bowling well. Sreesanth is wasting the new ball atm..
 
Straightening the ball a bit from around the wicket, could get an edge to slip.
