Botham reckons ENG can still get to a 200 run lead.
Don't they have duct tape in the UK![]()
Pretty biased commentary by Botham.

McGrath was an absolute class when he bowled with new ball. But have you seen him coming around for second spell, in later part of his career? He almost couldnt even let bowl at the death as batsman used to be more aggressive charging in, and blasting him out the parks. He retired before becoming a mockery!

We are on the ropes here. It is only a question of whether we will lose with dignity or get humiliated.
If we can keep the lead to less than 200, we might be able to make England bat again. I would take a 10 wicket or 9 wicket loss here, because an innings defeat was the most likely outcome at the end of day 1.
They'll probably get around 150 which is going to be more than enough for them to win.
The last 4 wickets can definitely score 100 runs.
Sarfaraz should improve his body language.
Why is this an impossible scenario -
Azhar 100
Imam 50
Haris 80
Asad 50
Usman 50
Sarfraz 20
Shadab 50
Faheem 40
Amir 20
Hasan 15
Abbas 10

Agreed. Keepers are supposed to be the life of a team.
Because it’s not going to happen. Azhar is rubbish, but he is twice as rubbish in the second innings.
The rest of the lineup will not cope with the scoreboard pressure. The best we can do here is to give England a small chase.
This match is a carbon copy of Lord’s, but the roles have been reversed.

None of our batsman is capable of scoring big in England
They can - if Azhar and Imam can see off the new ball.

I hope Pankha base won't kill me if I say PAK cordon stands at least 3 steps too far, set by their WK ...... hence half of the edges reach one bounce.
So much wrist-slitting right now........
Exactly. He looks so disinterested as well for some reason.
Since a win is out of picture for Pakistan. Unless Pakistan play extremely well and get them out around 100 in 4th innings. Maybe rain can help draw the match?
Not going to happen, but Specialist Captain should be axed from the Test team.
Rizwan cannot do worse with the bat, and he is a better keeper and also the fittest player in the country.
Shafiq can take over as captain. He is mediocre, but he is not going to be dropped, which means he is not a bad choice for captaincy.
At least he performs once in 3-4 innings unlike the current savior at the helm.
Statistics - average, a Test results about 10 catches/game, 3.5-4 of them by WK. Now, with a WK like Saha, IND drops 20%, means 2 out of 10 (that's 1 by Saha out of 10) and PAK drops 1 out of 10 (means, Sarfraz drops roughly 1 in 2 game, or half per game ....)
..... hence, without even looking at the game, I can tell that he is standing at a "safe" distance & doesn't bother much to dive around to touch the ball on flight - that's a pre-condition to drop a catch.

Better keeper... How?

Again!!!!! ...... next time his T20 & ODI team beats mighty ZIM, you'll be in trouble.
He can't dive properly for a start. From ball I knew they are far too back. Plus Bess edged one and it fell short of him and still he didn't move forward.
