I personally feel Indian batting is weak against swing. And the best batsman of swing bowling in that team in Bhuvi :moyo

Their bowling too will totally depend on Bhuvi as well...lol :ssa

The series draw should have come by winning the second test after losing the first, it feels much better.
 
Despite losing 2 wickets, being 37/2 after 8 overs is still better than our batsmen trying to survive by doing a blockathon. They don't have the ability to do a blockathon and would've been 8/4 instead. Both wickets were not due to great bowling so Pakistan just needs to learn on how to marry aggression with defense. But overall this isn't bad given our history of 3rd and 4th innings batting.

If India can handle decently in South Africa where not only it swings it bounce as well rest assure they can do decently here as well.

Imam looks a really good prospect. Far far better than the dross of Sami and Shan. Doesn't matter if Imam gets out here for a low score. He needs to be backed rather than us falling back to Shan and Sami.
 
Azhar and Shafiq twoof the most experienced batsmen we have. This is what they have to show when the going gets tough...

Doesn’t matter how it feels.The result is the same.Winning at Lords also feels much better,after 2010.

Every expert had said it was a win toss and bat first wicket. Even Joe Root at the toss had said he would have batted first. It is beyond Sarfaraz's control that the clouds started hovering as soon as the our innings started. Besides we batted very poorly. So please do not blame Sarfaraz for this debacle !!
 
Out to a nothing delivery chasing at a ball that doesn't deserve it. They are not turned on at all.

wah bhai, it's just not our day, three unlikely dismissals, just move on to something better, still good effort to be 1-1, from wrong decisions at toss to this, it's all down to Lady luck otherwise we are not this Bad
 
A total waste of investment by Misbah persisting with useless players like Hafeez, Shafiq and Azhar. The faster we get rid of these bunch of losers along with Sarfraz and Haris the better for us

Two youngsters on the crease. It is time to get behind them and cheer them on.

The lose of useless seniors shouldn't spoil the fun. Expecting them to take some responsibility was too much to ask for from the beginning.

It is not "one of those days" it just the seniors being seniors. The moment a little bit of pressure is on they get crushed.
 
Unacceptable Batting in 2nd Innings Today

Pak were trailing close to 200 in this game. Pitch has eased out but experienced batsmen haven't shown responsibility and looks like they'd rather not be in the middle. I'm hoping imam and salahuddin make the most of this opportunity.
 
I know people shout nepotism but I really think imam is made of good stuff.
Not to say he won't fail here but we need to look medium term.
 
The rest have been poor today but we can only expect better from shafiq n Azhar.
This is not an easy place for first tour
 
Very frustrating performance. Did they get too much praise after the Lords win & so got complacent? In an 2 match series, where you are one up, I would have expected a more professional batting performance.

I expect there will be some regret after this match as Pakistan blown a great chance to win the series, 1 or 2 nil.
 
Why are people here criticising the bowlers, when it's our batting that is and has always been the problem.

Imam deserves credit but will he be the same after gaining experience like Asad and Azhar?
 
All 3 wickets were easily avoidable and unnecessary.

Such soft and pathetic ways to get out. Azhar once again showing he's not a good foil at the top, and needs to be dropped for a proper opener. Haris also needs to realise he's the only genuine middle-order batsman left and not spoon the ball in the air. That's Test cricket 101, for goodness sake.

The Lords win is now a fluke, our players are terrible and they were complacent after the last match. These are difficult conditions and it's a young team - results are expected to fluctuate. Hats off to England - they played with a lot more intensity in this game but PAK shouldn't be totally discouraged either. There are positives and negatives they can take from this series

Let's try and end it on a high , with maybe Imam getting a good score or Sarfraz getting back into form .

This is a very new Pakistan side..they need time although number 1 and number 4 spots are now a serious question

Yes poor shots by Azhar and Haris in not that difficult conditions. They just needed to see off the new ball. Shafiq was unlucky though.

Forget the fluke chants that's just people who are trying too hard to be funny.

The question for me is are we going to look at the negatives and take a hint?

Azhar, Shafiq and Sarfaraz belong to the senior category and over and over again they have failed to lead the team in a pressure situation. Though sarfraz still has a second chance in this match.

It is time to draw some conclusions. Foreign and difficult conditions can't be used as an excuse to hide the elephant on the room. If we aren't gong to show any kind of resistance in "foreign" and "difficult" condition then why bother showing up? Why bother organizing such a tour? Why not look at the conditions beforehand and forfeit the match if the conditions seem too difficult? Let's only agree to play when the conditions are familiar and friendly.
