now azhar is gone for good. no more part of test squad any more I WISH.....
Also need a better captain.

Better to send our lower order now, rather than these insecure top order batsmen. Shadab and Faheem will score more
 
Azhar should now practice more for short bowling on marbles slabs, like what coaching staff told them

I asked the question in the first innings as well. Why do they keep playing across the line. Several got out playing across in the first innings. Now again in the second.
 
We will be better off with Azhar off. Less chance of Amir being dropped in slips

The point is Buttler is good at number 7 when he has the license to go out and attack. If you ask him to bat at 5, he will struggle royally because of his lack of application at the crease. Can Buttler bat at number 5 on a square turner in India? Absolutely not. He will be gleefully gobbled up by Jadeja. And we know why. Because he exclusively relies on hand eye coordination with minimal footwork. That technique would work on roads but not when the pitch is doing something. I bet even Sehwag would get demolished by Jadeja on those raging turners. So consistent chances or not, Buttler will only ever be a supporting cast in this England lineup and he can be a pretty good one.

A complete mirror of the first game.

At the beginning of the match I thought 275 was par on this pitch. Bat first, get 300 and the game was ours. England bowled beautifully and no shame in how most of our batters got out. Our bowling was poor and conceded too much.

In the end we are 200 runs behind the 8 ball.
 
Losing a wicket to a straight delivery in this situation. That too a senior player. Doesn't look good for Azhar from any angle :))
 
Anderson bowling full. Wont be surprised if we cant even reach 100

Ali played all around a straight delivery. Bat run of form this, its why I felt zaman should have had a go. A Change of pace in a one paced batting line up.
 
Hopefully Harris is reciting Surah An-Nas to keep his jinn at bay.
 
batting average for Pakistani batsmen in swing/seam condition must still be in single figures. What hass grant flower been doing all these years if he couldnt tell these batsman how to bat or negate swing?

Azhar has owned Azhar himself this series. Bar his dismissal in the second innings in the 1st Test, none of the deliveries were great.
 
Look how far deep is Haris. He cant bat outside his crease? You know why? Because bowlers arent bowling at 75mph
 
England completely took Pakistan's advice and they've bowled pretty much full throughout this Test match. Hardly seen any short balls. Credit to Broad. He looked toothless at Lords but here's he is looking a real handful. Amazing how just a simple change in length can completely transform a bowler.

I fancy England's chances against India now. England just need to bat well there.
 
Grant flower listening to commentary. He has done a poor job with these lads. Why is he even our batting coach? is it just because he is a foreigner?

One good thing to come out of this is ANderson is getting back to wicket taking form and looking ominous for the injured Virat Kohli... :afridi1

Its just a poor show by Pakistan. India is a better team batting wise. Its the batting that wins the matches on seaming tracks, not bowling, as all bowlers are kinda equal if bowl with good line and length on these tracks. India will win the series
 
Haris always gets out trying to drive early on. Come on man this is basic stuff.
 
Pakistan had to bat 5 sessions just to keep this match alive. With 2 wickets down they might not last the day.

Anyone still think the decision to bat was good?

Its better to lose 2-0 than to win the first game, give everyone false hopes of a series win after 22 years, only to lose the second one in total humiliation and end the series 1-1

I think India will draw the series

Their batting is light years ahead of our and bowling on par

Everyone would have taken a drawn series before the tour.
