India [347/9d] beat Bangladesh [106 & 195] by an innings and 46 runs in the 2nd Test

The pace trio needs to slow down a bit for the crowd's sake. Heard Sunday is a sold-out.

Its a discussion site, much better than many indian sites which is full of chest thumping twits who just believe in belittling the opposition, not discussing the merits of the game.....if discussion is akin to 'taking the bait' so be it m8....

No some of the trolls here have some sort of inferiority complex and are afraid to speak the truth. They like to fit into the PP community hence they undermine India's success. Kissing butts can go smooch around somewhere else.

truth is india is world number 1.
truth is india have the best bowling attack in the world.
truth is truth hurts.
If india underperform then I am sure lot of us fans will turn against them. Most are quite rational here.

Don't seem to remember when was the last time a test match ended inside 2 days.
 
Once again in swinging conditions almost all other indian batsmen failed except Kohli. Agarwal and Rohit properly stat-padded in the home season and will be on the flight to NZ where they'll be walking wickets.

BD are being totally outplayed, it's just not a good sight watching such a lopsided contest. Only good thing as a viewer is the brilliant pace bowling by Ishant

whatever the saffers Can dish out with their pacers, indian pacers do it 3 times better.
 
There is no Australian cricket forum site. They have been number 1 side for such a long time.

India, Bangladesh and Pakistan have most number of cricket fans . But the team has been literally **** apart from India in last few years.

On top of that , most intolerant , vicious, nonaccomodating fans and trolls also come from subcontinent.

Even football club groups from Chille and Argentina dont troll each other so much

Mayank is workable bro. he just needs to stop fishing. rohit plain sucks vs swing. hope he never gets picked in SENA. I hope Shaw gets dratfed in quick.
 
Please get another batsman out....I wanna see what Liton Das can do, the only one who doesn't look absolutely hopeless.

india has been good since exactly 2002. Very good in fact india were number 1 in 2008-2011 as well.

pakistan were number one in 2014. pakistam were always a top team since 2000 till about 2014.

only recently have they been struggling.

It would have been more of a lottery, yes. W may have still won 3-0 but it wouldn't be an accurate reflection of the gap between the teams.
 
Bangladesh are looking pretty lifeless out there. Where is the fight?

It seems like they are eager to go home or something.

Not everybody needs to have the same level of confidence in their team as you do.

This is a forum, where people can discuss the small technicalities of cricket. If you only want to talk about how great Indian cricket is, stick to an Indian forum.

That i agree on....in NZ...with rohit opening che Pu will be walking in at 10/1 in the 4th over ...we need to bring shaw on....and quick.....

Banana inswingers. Fun watching. But for batsman it is hard. If you want to practice before England series pink ball match is the best
 
dont think he opens...i guess at no 1 or possilbly in higher middle order...but he needs to be selected now...to groom him for further responsibilities...
 
Instead of playing main team against Bangladesh we should have tried youngsters.
 
Good to see boys have first saved 26, now 43 as well - kudos. Now, need to save 2 day Test as well - good luck for that, I guess it’ll be a bit easier once the dew settled down.

Watching two days cricket, I don’t think D/N cricket in South Asia, in Autumn/Winter is a good idea - either we’ll have to build indoor stadium or lightning system, where you can use conventional red ball.
 
By the way, I am not clear about the rule yet - why Liton & Nayeem is listed in batting again?

Brief sparkle from Bangladesh. Not sure how long it will last. But it is good stuff from them. WHy are they batting so low.
 
Ok boys have saved innings defeat by Kohli as well, I must have to inform - it was on the cards yesterday, but Ebadat got him for 136, leaving the 2nd innings target to 30.
 
Mahamdulla has invented a funky technique to survive lol Looks ungainly. Could have been out twice in two balls.
 
I am not sure if present helmets are good enough. They should produce better helmets. Players shouldn't get injured like this in modern times.

I am seriously believing that sighting ball might be an issue in pink ball cricket in South Asia for the winter haze. And, overall technique against short bowling has gone down - batsmen are groomed in protection of multiple gears that creates a false feeling of security, often takes eye out of the line and turns blind to anything short.
 
ban this pink ball. don't change the original format. I like to see brutal bouncers but not with this ** ball.

Good batting by these two, surviving somehow as well as scoring runs. Hope they survive the rest of the day. Tall ask, but no other hopes
 
I am not a fan of D/N Test. It is ridiculous to play this format at night.

If you are going to play it at night, switch to colored clothes and white ball.

Thank God, game won’t go to full distance - we would have required to fly back up players from Dhaka at this rate; convenient though, only 45 minutes flight and may be 6 hours road travel between BCB HQ & Dhaka airport.

Absolute lack of control from Indian bowlers with wet ball. Too many wayward deliveries. Very uncharacteristic display by the bowlers. I understand runs coming fast with tight field set. But bowling itself lacks control. First taste of pink ball bowling under lights with possible dew .
 
Horrible performance by BD. Should have shown more heart especially on a match of such magnitude with PM & other dignitaries watching. We can all blame on artificial lights, pink balls etc. but the fact is BD is a poor cricket team and been like this for ages.
 
Catches don't get easier than that Rahane has become an absolute dud fielder in the slips for spinners.
 
Pink ball in subcontinent is not a good idea. Wet ball is hard to grip. Post afternoon session swings like crazy. There is no uniform condition.

Day night test matches in india should be held in summer season which may have less dew... Oh wait.. ipl said Hai...
 
Frankly for all of Bangladesh's inept batting technique in this match, this match has been way more interesting for the neutral than any of the other matches played in this Indian home season.

The ball has been swinging prodigiously; batting has been difficult; good attacking strokeplay which has led to a flurry of boundaries; the cricket for the most part has been eminently watchable.

The only problem has been the gulf in quality between the sides, but it's not as if that gulf wasn't present when South Africa were touring. I think even if this was New Zealand or England touring, India would be dominating proceedings as they are just scarily good at home.
 
So India vs Bang and Aus vs Pak both seem like one sided lofted game. As much as I hate the old concept of Pig 3 playing eacother. I think that was the best plan.
 
I am glad they took it to third day. It should've been over within two days but Mushfiq did well.

Innings defeat is likely but hopefully they will bat for at least two sessions tomorrow.

Maybe you should look at how australia played in the UAE. They lost by 300+ runs in one of the matches.

Look at both sides of the coin why are you picking and choosing?
 
BD need to get rid of certified failures in Kayes, Mithun da. As bowling is starting to improve, they need to find better batsmen.
