Kohli still played and lost us the BGT and Rohit too merrily picked and chose the tests he played.

Thank God, selectors didn't agree to Kohli's demand of being our test skipper and Rohit demanding to play only 2 tests in this series or else we still would have been seeing their manhoos faces in the XI!

It is about making the most of new ball (bowlers), if batsmen see-off the new ball (whether openers or middle order), there's nothing you can do on this pitch... So its a bit like chess game... Have to say Siraj & Akash Deep bowled really well with the new balls (both times) with full intesity and focus... Also Indian batsmen handled the new balls well this time (without exposing it to lesser batsmen & induce panic - 1st Test kind of that happened...)

I suspect apart from the pitch, the quality of ball has played a role in this series (ball loosing softness pretty soon). Pacers are not getting any kind of bounce or reverse swing with old ball and spinners can't able to grip...

Indians gave them this title out of anger.

By the way I don't mind either approach. Its part of th charm of the game.

But try to explain it to someone whom isn't familiar with cricket and you will get an amazed reaction

Lara’s 400 was criticised, Gill’s would be too as he is the captain.

Batting team is playing as fast as they can, the problem is there are enough runs on the board

Batting team is getting runs, albeit bit slowly courtesy negative lines employed by bowling team, that's how I see it

Batting team is scoring at near 5 RPO. Bowling team is the one trying negative tactics.
 
This is mental weakness which will eventually say to England we are scared .

Not declaring after 550 lead is accepting this series cannot be won

Lol. England's shoulders are drooping after being out there for 235 overs and getting smacked at will but yeah it's India's mental weakness.
 
If Stokes has sense he should play for the draw. It will send the Indian media and camp into a frenzy as they tear into their tactics.

No matter how good you are you ain't score 570+ in 3 and a bit sessions. Don't even try it Stokesy. Play for the draw and blame Gill. The new captain will crumble under the pressure.
 
If England goes on the defensive with the bat, they will lose, we saw it too many times in the 2021 series where they were playing for a draw and game the Indian bowlers and captain the full license to come at them aggressively.

I guess this decision of batting on isn't Gill's decision, it's Gambhir. It's him who calls all the shots in Indian cricket

English pitches are terribly flat even on the last session of the fifth. It's being pragmatic , wearing England out of their minds and taking the loss out before looking for the win.

Admit it , you're just unhappy that a Bumrah-less India has managed to show England up in both bowling and batting

They were persisted because they were coming after the (so-called) T20 triumph, "veterans" so should be given another chance as their (so-called) "experience" is needed for the overseas tests! So they felt it was a one-off debacle... BGT ensured they are finished... But for true Indian Fans that 0-3 drubbing will haunt for a long time...

you can have mcgrath bumrah and rabada together and it sill wont make a difference.
 
How bad have English become that their pitches mimic roads?

On the contrary up until the last hour I've been well impressed with India and given them credit.

I feel they have let the game slip in the last hour for no reason.

Yes pitch is flat and but you have an opposition who plays gung ho cricket, back yourself.
