India reach 21/0 at stumps after bowling England out for 183 on Day 1 of the 1st Test

Wow England have messed this up massively since the Bairstow wicket

Thakur will be very handy in T20 WC too with all his variations.

India can get a huge first innings lead if they want
 
ENG about to be bundled out for 160 odd....well bowled India

As I predicted before, this Eng team is poor, India will be kicking themselves if they fail to win this series
 
I am just worried we need to bat at the fag end of the day in this fading light.
 
Apart from Stokes, Eng also dearly missing Woakes here.

That guy was is a real MVP in English conditions....his bowling stats in Eng are comparable to Anderson and he has played some highly valuable innings with bat...still remember his innings against Pak last year which helped Eng win from a hopeless situation.
 
Enland batting is so poor now a days however 225 will still be a good score the way ball has moved so far here.
 
Bar Root that top order is as worse as I have seen in many a year. God help England when the Ashes comes around. 5 nil written all over it
 
I didn't expect a over from Shardul.
All of suddenly Siraj was discarded and given ball to Shardul.

Those comments were made when he was bowling pies which he surely was, these 2 wickets won't change that.

Comical and embarrassing is what you're saying as if he was bowling well earlier too. He did bowl exceedingly well in this over, well done and everyone acknowledges that. Don't make it an occasion to take potshots on others.

Only watch bits earlier at that time he was bowling wide so batsman can leave the ball easily.. He didn't attack much earlier.. He's your 4th baller so no complains..

Hope our batting doesn't commit harakiri like they did in WTC final. Broaderson are such a frightening prospect at home.
 
India has lot of overs to bat today...Rohit and KL opening is going to comical . I like KL, but TM if they have any common sense should know that he's not suited to open anymore .

Even if he didn't take any wickets, he still bowled competently. He's a newbie in test cricket and offering control that Umesh and till recently Ishant struggled with. With this context, it takes some irrational hatred or some petty agenda to say Shardul's bowling pies - with his ER at 2.5.
 
Curran and Thakur knows each other very well as both plays for CSK.
 
Excellent bowling by India. I didn't expect them to be this good having left Ashwin out. All the bowlers bowled well (except Jadeja, maybe). Get them under 200, boys!

I don't think you understand cricket OR the English language. When you say a bowler is bowling PIES - it means batsmen are feasting off his bowling. You know, scoring runs off him. Not getting it yet? It means the bowler is leaking runs.

Now show me when Shardul leaked runs.

In fairness, the top three are newbies and batting has been challenging in ENG last few seasons.
 
I swear if we let Sam Curran walk all over us with both bat and ball for the 2nd time in 2 series...

On this pitch, India will be lucky to score over 120. Our batting is very fragile. Middle order is non-existent.

This is still one of their strongest batting lineups. England strength has always been that they bat very deep. They are not dependent on 2 or 3 batsmen like India.
 
India have bowled well today and exposed englands batting. they do need to get this last wicket quickly.
