Man, I thought we'd still get a full game despite the ceremony, but this was totally unnecessary if it ended up reducing the game.

To be fair though, the grounds staff may have been the reason and the ceremony was the "cover up".

My initial reaction was also same. The ground staff were working continuously while the ceremony was going on. So the ceremony itself didnt cause the delay. though it was annoying for me.

Yes maybe it did delay it but that was necessary as it was the opening to a new league. This was the most unnecessary thing ever and reduced the game's overs. You simply can't compare the two.

But I totally agree, we could've done without that. Has this been happening in all the games, or was it just today?
