When:2nd November at 19:30 IST

Where:Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi

What to expect: It's a venue that has seen a heavy bias for sides chasing, especially in the latter half of the tournament. Only 3 out of the first 9 games saw successful chases whereas 7 out of the last 8 games have won by teams chasing. The toss is set to play a critical role, thus.

Qualification scenarios:It's pretty straightforward to get to the No.2 spot - the winner gets that spot with 16 points. The loser will be wary of a few other results going their way to ensure that they don't fall behind the NRR even if they're tied on 14 points with other teams.

Squads:

Royal Challengers Bangalore Squad: Josh Philippe, Devdutt Padikkal, Virat Kohli(c), AB de Villiers(w), Washington Sundar, Gurkeerat Singh Mann, Chris Morris, Isuru Udana, Mohammed Siraj, Navdeep Saini, Yuzvendra Chahal, Parthiv Patel, Dale Steyn, Aaron Finch, Umesh Yadav, Moeen Ali, Pawan Negi, Adam Zampa, Pavan Deshpande, Shivam Dube, Shahbaz Ahmed

Delhi Capitals Squad: Prithvi Shaw, Shikhar Dhawan, Shreyas Iyer(c), Rishabh Pant(w), Marcus Stoinis, Shimron Hetmyer, Harshal Patel, Ravichandran Ashwin, Praveen Dubey, Kagiso Rabada, Anrich Nortje, Ajinkya Rahane, Mohit Sharma, Axar Patel, Alex Carey, Avesh Khan, Sandeep Lamichhane, Keemo Paul, Tushar Deshpande, Daniel Sams, Lalit Yadav

Daniel Sams to play in place of Shimron Hetmyer for Delhi Capitals tonight against Royal Challengers Bangalore.

For KKR to qualify:

RCB to lose by 22 or more runs
DC to lose by 18 or more runs

If the match gets close and margin of victory is less than mentioned above, then both DC and RCB will qualify.

Then KKR would want SRH to lose for them to qualify.

I think both will qualify today only.

Yes, both are known for choking and bottling in the championship race! So the match may go down to the wire (as it has happened in many matches this season). If DC was not under pressure (if they had already qualified), then DC would have probably had the upper hand.

Lol :yk

Spot on though.

Another slow innings by RCB! Kohli again culprit! He should either open or come at No.5 or No.6

Kohli is becoming another Dhoni. Bats at snails pace and sucks the life out of the batting.

Two teams that I hate most are RCB and CSK. One is already out and other will soon join them. What a time to be a MI fan

15 runs short. Good bowling by DD. Hope Rahane bats long enough otherwise they can chase this in 17.3 overs.

Virat Kohli should take early paternity leave for both his & his team's (RCB/India) welfare! I am not confident about the upcoming Australian Tour!

Need to get Prithvi Shaw early. If the guy fires, they will chase down in 15 overs.

Lol at the midget Shaw! Siraj rightly put him in place with gem of a ball! The sooner India gets rid of this good-for-nothing Shaw, the sooner Gill or Jaiswal will into the team.

Rahane will singlehandedly save rcb from elimination.

Come on gabbar! Let's teach kaptaan a lesson. For rohit's sake!

Alright this is it then.

Q1 - MI vs DC

E1 - RCB vs KKR

Unless Rohit decides to troll Kohli for his national snub and lose to SRH by a big margin. :ashwin

Rahane performing is bad news for DC and good news for DC play off opponents. He is a poor LO player and will be exposed if DC have to get a move on in setting or chasing a score.

If DC scores 153, RCB need to stretch match to 17.3 overs
If DC scores 154: 17.4 overs
If DC scores 155: 17.5 overs
If DC scores 156: 17.5 overs
If DC scores 157: 18 overs
If DC scores 158: 18.1 overs

Chalo AB delivered under pressure and when stakes was high. Hopefully, no one quotes me any long for that.

Iyer needs to go boom boom right now!

Picture abhi baki hai mere dost. Real pressure is yet to come. I know rcb considers it a successful season if they aren't holding wooden spoon but come on.

Looks like someone has told Rahane his place in test team is under danger if he bats aggressively? Claps...

You seriously think SRH will beat Mumbai?

Possible - MI will rest almost their first XI, at least the three pacers. They have absolutely nothing to gain from one more win to risk Bumrah, Boult, Patinson... even Hardik & Pollard

RCB gave away a golden opportunity to finish in the top 2 and play the qualifier. :))

There's no way they're going to win three games in a row and win the whole thing.

What if suddenly some one bowl two no balls.
Just imagine two free hits and two sixes :ds

One match, Kohli performs. Second one, AB and third one, Chahal. What say? :yk

That one game, that one game is going to cost KKR here - 89 or sa all out against RCB and they lost it inside12 overs. That day I wrote that Kohli must make sure that they are damage KKR’s NRR as such that if they are to make it, it has to be by points.

If I were MI, I probably would have allowed SRH to win and erase KKR - the way teams are forming, if they make the Cut, it’s most likely going to be a MI-KKR final.

High quality knock by Rahane. :thumbsup

A win here means DC will play MI with Rahane in the team. Good going.

Both Delhi Capitals and Royal Challengers Bangalore have qualified for IPL 2020 Playoffs. The race remains between KKR and SRH, if SRH wins tomorrow they'll go through, if they loses KKR will qualify.

I pray to God MI knock out Sunrisers tomorrow and KKR come through

Rahane should have played in the World Cup for India. No. 4 slot would have been good for him.

Tbh I think MI will play their entire bench in the next game and SRH will be playing it’s full first team (besides Bhuvaneshwar)

DC are officially through and they'll meet Mumbai Indians in the Qualifier 1.

RCB are safe too, thanks to their NRR.

Tomorrow's result will determine whether they finish thrid or fourth

Virat’s body language has been terrible today. His reaction at losing the toss was probably it for the day. Losing but still securing play offs is still respectable, and if he stays positive out there it will put an energy through to his side who have to face SRH or KKR, both teams that will have their tails up.

I’m not feeling confident they will win their next game whoever the opponent is

RCB qualify for the playoffs with 4 consecutive losses!

I don’t think they will win the next game either. It’s top 4 or bust for RCB

They need to bring Finch back instead of this pretender Philipe and they need a proper strike bowler. Unfortunately the bench fast bowlers are all mentally shot

This is first time since 2016 that #RCB have reached the playoffs

2017 - 8th
2018 - 6th
2019 - 8th
An improvement?

We will loose.

RCB side for play off 2

1. Padikal
2. Finch (os)
3. Sundar
4. Kohli
5. AB (os)
6. Dube
7. Moeen (os)
8. Morris (os)
9. Siraj
10. Chahal
11. Saini

I’m throwing Sundar at 3 because I think RCB desperately need to stretch out this batting order because it seems all doom after AB. Perfect number for him is 5 either batting first or chasing. Plus I don’t see any reasons why Kohli doesn’t just open and try bat through?

RCB are dependent on three players- Kohli, AB and Yuzi. Kohli's body language looked poor throughout this game, he knows it's only about time before RCB gets knocked.

Better they start preparing for Australia tour, a lot of players have been selected from his team only like Siraj, Saini and Sundar.

He can go opening. Dont know why.

RCB have beaten KKR twice. Why do you think KKR will beat them? Also Mumbai have beaten KKR 21 times in IPL history and KKR have beaten them 6 times lol. This seasons games between them weren't that close. Not sure I want a KKR vs MI final.

It's about momentum - KKR are on the raise; they'll be my dark horse in the Play-offs. But yes, MIs are stand alone favorites.
