Murtagh is Ireland's best bowler.

There was this Murtagh in ICC cricket captain 2001 game too, wonder if he is the same Murtagh.
 
Just seeing the joy every player has whenever anyone takes their debut wicket is so heart warming.
 
Both Babar is not a test material!!! Why PCB playing same players in every format without judging their strength?
 
Don't think both Babar and Sami will in Africa test series. We cannot have so many weak players in our squad.

Crowd chanting Babar, Babar, seems like a decent enough Pakistani representation in the stands. Irish crowd also cheering the good shots.
 
Need Babar to get going in tests. Haris doesn't seem to have the fitness and Azhar is getting on in age.

Making such heavy weather of batting against a new Test team ! And we're hoping to get a result against England with this lineup ?

Suffice to say Babar has now had enough chances in Test cricket. Continues to disappoint in the format.
 
Sarfi may succeed here... At what speed they bowling? 120s?130s? or its just swing and seam?
 
irish players play lot of county cricket. They are pretty good in these conditions. Cant blame Pakistani players, its the conditions.
 
I still don’t get how Babar scores any runs. His stance is basically French cricket.
 
Told you so. Pak really short on batting.

Need something spectacular from Shadab, Faheem to get Pak to 220 at the least.

Koi nai they will get better.
Need to be persisted.

Babar I think is playing too many shots for test matches. Need more domestic matches to learn the art of building innings in test matches. Technique and shots wise he ain't that bad.
 
Sarfraz has got a rare chance to come to bat at around 40 overs mark - he should go after the bowling and allow Asad to focus on carrying the bat.

Since Shafiq will most probably be the leading scorer for Pakistan and this is the first innings he needs to score between 40 < x < 100 for Pakistan's chances of losing be at 22% or below.

Normally when he makes a leading contribution Pakistan loses the game :)) :))

Inshallah, but the way Hari got out today after 2 hours of batting, it doesn't give confidence.

Playing QEA isn't going to help Babar because he won't bat for long enough to learn about test cricket.

He drives better than most contemporary players, best from PAK since MoYo, but some how finds himself under unnecessary pressure. Good that finally has decided to bat at 4.

Looks good in Test match doesn't work - he has to convert it to 145, at least 120; otherwise 60-70 isn't much in a Test innings.

Shafiq should aim to bat for as long as possible. Rest of the batsmen should play some shots. Ireland bowlers will get tired eventually.
 
Lol at the panic for this game. I still expect 350. Overs 45-80 old even amir will be able to make runs against these. And we will score quick in this period.
We need to be worried about England tho
 
How is the pitch folks? I could not watch the game as more interesting IPL game is going on currently?

Np yar..We need to bowl the right line and conditions & pitch will do the rest. Dont see Ireland crossing 200 if we follow basics.
 
Imam and Azhar are a poor opening pair. Fakhar might be worth a shot.

Unfortunately seems like England will massacre us.
