time to rock n roll

So apparently we will be playing our best batting line up today - lets see

Good move to play our best batting lineup since there's just one practice game

We're probably going to see 6 batsmen throughout the tour after the recent collapses. While his bowling is good enough, Nawaz is far too flawed a batsman.

Yup. Have a feeling they will play Babar at 6 on this tour though I see him as our future number 3 in Test cricket with Asad at 5 after Misbah retires. Harris should replace Younis at 4 whenever he decides to go. We do need to find a genuine all rounder though. Only one I really rate is Yamin.

Babar should play at 6, Amir, Rahat and Sohail as fast bowlers. Rest of batting should be the usual.

Really Wanted Mohd Asif there too. In these conditions he is a master of seam and swing bowling. Sad such a talent went down the drain.😔

Could be the story of the tour methinks. New Zealand is a very rainy place.

Lol cmon guys, you know better than to get hyped up for a warm-up match. Just check the scorecards.

Aek hi tour match mila tha woh bhi barbad hogaya

I'm fine if one match is rained out; But it will be sad if both are no results. After all, we need to win the series.

There's only two Test matches so it really isn't ideal if either is heavily interrupted by rain in a similar manner to this tour game.

Rain forecast from 7 to 9 AM and 11 AM NZ time on Day 2

Source: Accuweather (hourly)

Scheduled start for Day 2 is 10:30 AM NZ time

Hope we can get a game :42:

Don't stay up this time.

Thanks for the advice but I won't be able to stop myself from watching it.

You might not believe it but I'm the kind of guy who watches test matches from over 1-90 and Day 1-5 so you probably get what I'm trying to say.

Are you kidding me :livid: :livid: :livid:

It's okay man, calm down. I know things look bleak right now, but when Amir takes his 10th wicket to win the 1st test for us everything will be ok. Just keep your hopes up man, they will be fulfilled.

Its been the wettest oct-november i can remember in christchurch. Hope it comes right for the 1st test here.

Update : Second day of Pakistan's opening cricket tour match with NZ A in Nelson washed out

http://www.stuff.co.nz/sport/cricke...ket-tour-match-with-nz-a-in-nelson-washed-out

The three-day cricket match between Pakistan and New Zealand A has been reduced to a one-day contest after continuing rain washed out day two in Nelson on Saturday.

Play had been scheduled to start on Friday morning to kick-start the Pakistan team's brief two-test tour of New Zealand. However, persistent rain forced the first day to be abandoned at Saxton Oval without a ball being bowled, with the players hoping for some respite from the weather on day two. It never eventuated as the rain continued to fall, forcing another premature end at around 12.30pm.

The forecast looks more promising for Sunday's third and final day, although the loss of two days play has seriously curtailed the Pakistan team's preparations for the first test which starts at Christchurch's Hagley Oval next Thursday.

There was still time for the toss to be made on Friday, won by New Zealand, with new test opening batsman Jeet Raval and Dean Brownlie preparing to open New Zealand A's innings - whenever the rain finally stops falling.

No joy for Pakistan or NZ A after three-day match abandoned in Nelson rain

The three-day cricket match between Pakistan and New Zealand A has been abandoned without a ball being bowled.

Rain encroached into the third straight day at Nelson's Saxton Oval on Sunday, leaving the Pakistan team without any match practice ahead of next Thursday's first test against the Black Caps at Hagley Oval in Christchurch.

The game was officially abandoned well before the intended start time of 10.30am with earlier forecasts suggesting some play might have been possible on the final day. Instead, the rain arrived on cue to leave everybody frustrated after three straight days of inactivity.

After a week in Nelson, Pakistan now shift camp to Christchurch and hopefully some better weather ahead in the countdown to Thursday's scheduled 11am start at Hagley Oval.

Nelson cricket followers will also be hoping for improved weather fortunes as the White Ferns are due to play the fourth match of their women's one-day international series against Pakistan at Saxton Oval on Thursday, also at 11am.

The fifth and final game of that series is also scheduled for Saxton Oval on Saturday, followed by their one Twenty20 fixture on Monday, November 21 at 3pm.
