New Zealand beat Bangladesh by 7 wickets in the first Test

Bangladesh as always collapsing when the pressure is on but or our 4 quality bats are left
 
Too much left to do, even if we manage to somehow dismiss Bangladesh in a session in a half, we're still looking at a chase of 250+ in ~50 overs.

People are forgetting we have a defensive captain, it's just not going to happen.

100% draw.
 
They are under huge pressure. They need to see out this session with minimal losses (1 more wicket at most)- then they can assess what to do/build for runs or shut up shop vs a staring attack.

One more wicket and the Bangladeshi tail comes in. 220 odd is very much on to chase and I think Williamson will go for it.
 
If Sabbir gets them to safety he will have played an atg Bangladeshi knock here- whether it's 50, 60, 70 or a a hundred. Huge job for a rookie batsman with so many seniors injured i would be really unjust for Bangladesh to lose this way. Hope he can do it!
 
This is where NZ miss someone like Bond or Milne. Straight and very fast to these tailenders is the way.

Our Senior players don't know how to play under pressure. Seems like nervous headless chicken. *** you are playing international cricket for years

India's first overseas victory came in New Zealand as well.

This really is ridiculous. So many sports channel, either they are showing the stupid fake+reheased 'pro' wrestling, or some recordings. Ten network even has a cricket channel, and yet.. no live cricket to be seen.
 
Why I am hardly surprised? Always knew this was around the corner. Bangladesh players just don't have it in them.

I dare say Pakistan's weakest player Sami Aslam is much better than Bangladesh best player Tamim/Rahim. That just shows the gulf of difference between both teams. And there were threads about Bangladesh being better than Pakistan or their bowling being better than India's. Immature, childish, knee jerk posts.

No, he wouldn't. Asad Shafiq averages 43 odd. Still he is considered very inconsistent and mentally weak player.

Shakib averages under 40 and that despite playing majority of the tests against minnows and that too at home. He would have been lambasted to death by the fans.

^Add to that, all Bangladesh players play ********* shots ALL THE TIME. They are the epitome the aforementioned quality. That first innings was an outlier.

Shakib would walk into any Asian team and any non-Asian team when they tour Asia. He is quality.

Was talking about batting. Even as an allrounder, he is no world beater. What Pakistan now need is a genuine batsman who can bowl. Shakib doesn't fit in that criteria as he is a mediocre batsman against all teams but WI and ZIM. Bits and pieces allrounders are not needed.

He'd get into non-Asian teams playing at home too. He'd get into the Zimbabwe and Windies teams, he's a better bowler than Moeen so he'd get into the England team. Saffers don't really have a settled spinner so I reckon they'd have no problem putting him into the team instead of Bavuma at 6 or 7. Lyon is quite an underrated bowler but I doubt the Aussies would be able to say no to Shakib's extra batting ability and he'd get into the Kiwi team ahead of Santner.

I personally don't have anything left to say

It's not that we are a bad team. We are capable side. And yet we see all these stupid mistakes

While I am a big fan of Shakib I will never label him along with the likes of Imran or Kapil or Botham because he sometimes makes some horror decisions with bat in hand. Irresponsible.

Thing is we need a fresh set of players. These garbage players like Riad is grossly overrated because of twin centuries in ODI world cup where someone like Brendan Taylor was among the highest run scorers no offense to him.

Also about time we get rid of Haturisinghe and his rubbish coaching staff - Walsh, Halsal, Samaraweera and actually bring recognized coaches like Ian pont, Fountain, Stuart Law, heck even Venkatesh prasad

Personally I want the team to watch videos of these matches again and again:

-loss to India in world cup T20
-loss to NZ in wt20
-loss to Afghanistan in 2nd ODI
-loss to England in 1st ODI
-all the losses against NZ in LoIs last year
-loss in this test

I want the players to watch every bit of it. And then we can actually see them stop wasting time taking selfies, dyeing their hair blonde, doing mannequin challenges.

Sometimes I wonder if these guys are even cricketers. Look at Kohli. Guy does everything but he works hard and plays on the field as if his life depends on it. Physiologically our players are of the same mould as Kohli but to them cricket field looks like a little picnic area. Pathetic. It seems that these losses don't even affect them. Oh wait that's because they can go back to their BPL sides where they will be labeled as "big players"
