He is not a test natural. He is a lazy batsman who only believes in flashy drives and zero intent to rotate the strike using deft hands. Someone like Williamson isn't as talented as Tamim say in LoIs but scores bucket loads of runs because he is a smart operator who knows what the situation demands.
Tbh our entire culture is such that we don't believe in greatness through hard work. Soumya and Taskin themselves are labelled as superstars when they haven't achieved Nothing whilst mominul has achieved more than these two combined but hardly has any following or endorsement.
Thats a typical Sub continental thing. Shorter formats have more mass following while FC cricket and Tests matter only to the hard core supporters and not the masses. Plus lack of popularity of Test stars is also because BD do not play enough tests. Once you start playing test regularly and doing well, Test specialists will also start getting better recognition.
25 fours in this game which = 100 runs in 25 balls.
Currently Bangla are on 145 with 38 overs gone.
So Bangla have scored 45 runs in the other 33.5 overs.
Just wow
Or am i missing something here
Correction : 1 six has been scored as well so
25 fours + 1 six in this game which = 106 runs in 26 balls.
Currently Bangla are on 145 with 38 overs gone.
So Bangla have scored 39 runs in the other 33.4 overs.
Riad is a bit of a joke in Tests. Always plays a rash shot and gets out. We have much better batsman than him. Batsman averaging 60+ in our domestics. I know international cricket is different but why have a batsman who sells his team down the drain
Shocking batting considering Bangla were only 2/3 down and had 2 set batsman at the crease. Should be looking to get at least a 100 off the last 10, dont see that happening however.

Wait what)
mominul haq is an exceptional talent I think should be their in Bangladesh odi team at number 3, don't know why Bangladesh keeps on dropping talents like nasir rubel and mominul

If he focuses on Test only, he has about 15 years of Test career & as a specialist bat, he shouldn't miss many Test due to injury - about 7-8 Tests/Year, should take him to near 140 Tests; at present, he is scoring around 85 runs/Test; if I take a discount in both, he needs around 8.5K runs in about 115 Tests (75/Test), to reach around 10K. I think, if he is serious about it; he has a realistic chance; just like Azhar Ali has the chance to reach 10K.
Azhar won't reach there, because he is wasting his time for things that are not made for him, Momin might just do - he has better mentors to advice & better head to listen to that.
The confidence in their batting says it all. Imrul guy needs to be rested.

7-8 tests are too many to arrange for Papon and co.They managed a mind boggling 2 tests last year.
If this is bowling pitch than Bangladesh is really playing well

This is a fantastic Test wicket. It has something for everyone, even for spinners - I can tell you that Kiwis won't like to chase 200+ on day 5 against Sakib & Miraj here. Only players who won't like to play here are low back-lift grafter without any back-foot game & spinners who darts more than flighting it.
I cant see it taking much turn on day 5 really. It will flatten up and slow down like always.
What we need is to reach 285/4 at 2nd ball & then go after. Losing last 6 in 20 overs is not a big deal as long as it brings close to 100. Most Asian teams often play too defensive against 2nd ball, which allows fielding Captain to set catching fielders & bowl attacking line - which will always result in a cluster of wickets. Even if we are all-out for 319, still it's a good score; 450 can be match winning. I am sure, Mushi'll enjoy his lunch more than Kane - this momentum has to be carried; couple of boundaries, I can tell that there'll be a 3rd man & sweeper out with new ball.
Bangladesh look a vastly superior batting team than pakistan so far.

Lol all the critics hiding in their caves, probably hoping for a collapse.![]()
Our batsmen should learn from Bangladesh how to play in green pitch. They have more potential than us in test as well in overseas and home condition.
