I have time and again been discouraged from speaking about Blasphemy Laws, from speaking in support of the Ahmadi Community and equal rights for them, from speaking against the Taliban openly, from speaking against sensitive issues like marital rape and forced conversions, from speaking against certain Political Parties who thrive on violence. Time and again the reason for discouraging me was (a) threat to life and (b) loss of votes. My response has always been and will remain: One should not do politics for the votes or to be in the limelight safely, one should do it for the values. The values which I believe will benefit Pakistan. The values I believe our Nation needs to adopt. The values which saw an Ahmadi become our Foreign Minister. The values which embraced a secular blasphemy law at the time of our creation. The values which granted equal rights, dignity and freedom to all. The values of Quaid-e-Azam. At the end of the day what is bigger than me, my campaign, my voter, is the cause i.e. the ideology of coexistence. I for now am just a face for the ideology through my campaign. Tomorrow I know I will hear many more voices for it, many more shoulders next to me standing to guard these values. The "Naya Pakistan" people talk about is not of today it is the Pakistan of the kids who are between 3-10 years old. The young minds. We need to adopt the values of compassion, peace and coexistence to give these young minds a healthy and positive thinking for a healthy and positive Pakistan. It is our debt to Pakistan that we leave behind a legacy of a thinking, concerned and civilized Pakistan. No if it comes at the cost of life or at the cost of losing votes that is a very small price to pay. Power to the People. Power to Pakistan. Pakistan Zindabad. "Ab Ayi Awam Ki Bari!"

these are views of a young 26 your old independent candidate, M Jibran Nasir, standing from NA 250 and PS 113 in Karachi. I am highly impressed by his views on various talk shows and on his fb page. And even though, I know that he has slim chances of winning from our constituency, I was so happy to have someone like him aspiring to be a political leader and our representative in parliament. What about oversees voters? PTI should have been more aggressive with that. Its a pretty big vote bank they might miss out on.

Also I worry for two things:
1. People are registered at random locations. I know people in Karachi who are somehow registered in Baluchistan and God knows where. Now they are unable to case their vote, but who knows their vote might be cast somewhere else.
2. Last time few of my friends had their vote already casted when they got to the polling station. If Nooras and PPPs get their way again and ballott stuffing is ripe then Tsunami will be washed away

Well an efficient transport system is hardly a luxury or spurious spending. The urban middle class in particular(aka the guys who are watching the ads) are more likely to be attracted to trains than elimination of poverty.

The thing is if corruption is diminished we have enough money to do both these things.

Had we made alliance with JI it would have helped in killing Jew lobby propaganda but internal party pressure for party tickets didnt let it happen also some liberal supporters of PTI were not happy about alliance with JI.
anyways whats done is done. Gujranwala and Faisalabad seems our weak points in Punjab.Lets hope for the best.
